11 years ago, I walked into The Reciprocity Foundation and immediately felt a sense of calm, belonging and joy. I'd found a home away from my homeless shelter having met the co-founders, Adam & Taz. I'm very blessed to call them my "surrogate parents" and they've shown me the kind of love and support that I so desperately needed when I did not have a traditional family. The Reciprocity Foundation offers a number of holistic services from meditation, yoga, self-love practices and acupuncture in addition to in-house cooked vegetarian meals. There are often times music, singing, dancing and most importantly lots and LOTS of laughter. Over the course of the past 11 years I've made an extended family of sorts with my fellow Reciprocity members. I've been able to connect with folks from all walks of life with such beautiful and tragic stories. Reciprocity is a welcoming and safe haven for homeless youth heterosexual, LGBT+, gender non-conforming, etc.. I'd recommend Reciprocity to ANYONE currently struggling with homelessness to come for support, guidance and friendly faces. All are welcome there :
The Reciprocity Foundation is an amazing place where people who are experiencing some of life's toughest challenges - trauma, homelessness, poverty, marginalization - can receive personalized care and be seen in their wholeness. The space is beautiful and peaceful, simply walking in feels healing and soothing. Spending your afternoon here with some acupuncture, reiki, meditation, or massage, and maybe a cup of tea is probably the best thing you can do for yourself, like right now!
The Reciprocity Foundation is not just a place, but it is a community where I have received great treatments, a warm reception and a sense of connection. I would highly recommend coming here for anyone in need of meditation, acupuncture, health coaching and energy healing. It is truly a refuge in the city!
The Reciprocity Foundation is such a special place. The moment I entered the space, I felt all of my tension drop away. I felt at home! The community is warm and wise. There is room for anyone to come as they are, and the healing comes in many forms from friendship to holistic practices. I am so grateful to this place for the many reciprocal joys and therapies we have shared.
How can I start by just saying this space is a special space to my heart. Its my second family and my go to when it comes to matters of my heart. The staff is awsome just to name a few that I had the pleasure to connect with, Nicole, Ramel, and the founder TAz. Eye so love them all, and the services you get my donating is just the most compassionate service you will ever receive more than any health and healing spa in the city. In the heart of chelsea, this hidden gem you cannot miss, they offer reiki, massage, wellness counseling, community healing dinners, wellness retreats, mild yoga, intermediate yoga, and soooo much more. This place restored my health and eye so appreciate them. Anyone seeking spiritual alignment or just need to feel healthy and belong, dont hesitate to seek this wonderful healing space.
Reciprocity Foundation is a true place of refuge amidst a city buzzing with chaos, excitement, heartbreak, and suffering all at once. It offers a place for youth to gather, heal, connect with other youth, and find a sense of belonging when society has sent them messages that tell them otherwise. As a practitioner/ service provider, it has taught me what it means to truly be in deep relationship and build connections in a system that often wants us to just build transactions; these reciprocal relationships are at the root of healing for all of us. This is the kind of space and community that we are all hungry for. Blessings for this new space and for many years of deep connection and healing to come.
Reciprocity does incredible work with young people, helping them to heal, create and act on a vision of the future, and build a community of peers who support each other. I've attended a bunch of their programs and I was very impressed by the transformations I saw in the participants I met. Reciprocity embodies true altruism in action.
The work Reciprocity does is unparalleled. As long as I have know them, they have always demonstrated the utmost integrity, authentic compassion, and groundedness in their work. I feel grateful to have crossed paths with them, as their work constantly inspires me. Taz, Adam, and the rest of the Reciprocity crew are the "real deal." They have changed the lives of so many people.
I have participated in Reciprocity's activities and see how loyal they are to the populations they work with. One of my favorite non-profits, run by people I really admire.
Haven't been back. So a visit is due. Yes you'll love an enjoy the peaceful ambience and the energies you meet
