The Shack Coffee Shop & Beer Garden

If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop in and enjoy some outstanding people. Simone and Matt will make you feel at home and you walk away planning you're return. I'm not the biggest beer lover, but when in their presence, this changes. Great beer selection, great barbecue from Village Barbecue in back. One stop shopping for a memorable vacation.

First of all, grad some cash as this place does not take card. But it is totally worth it. This place is amazing! The service here is the friendliest you will find literally anywhere, the drinks are amazing and unique, and with coffee and beer it is the best of both worlds. I, unfortunately, did not get a chance to check out the beer garden at night but it did look spacious and cozy from what I saw. But the coffee/breakfast drinks they have are unique to only this cafe and really get your day started right. This is probably my favorite place in all of OBX and it's truly a hidden gem that more people should know about.

Coffee (mornings): - Cash only - Indoors - Great coffee, just not super fast - A variety of pastries and some breakfast foods are available Beer (evenings): - Cards (including discover) accepted - Outdoors (May be closed with bad weather) - No food that I'm aware of (except for the occasional food event such as pig roast, must visit to find out) - Live music (most days after 8:30-9pm) - Rotating beer selection: a good mix of craft beer both local and non local - Table and bar seating available - Parking is usually hard. Walk if possible - Buggy: bug spray available free of charge - Great atmosphere. Usually not too crowded. Staff are friendly. Would recommend - Child friendly generally from 5-8pm

This place is awesome all day long! Start out with coffee and the best crumb cake outside of NJ...end with a few craft beers in the beer garden while listening to live music!
