The Silk Road Catering & Spice

I was recently attending a wedding where Silk Road was catering. I'm sure the food was excellent, my husband thought so, but I wasn't able to eat, because I had an allergic reaction to tree nuts. This was AFTER I told the staff that I had a severe tree nut allergy. I knew the salad had tree nuts, and I asked if anything else had nuts. They told me everything else was safe. I went through the buffet line and scooped up a delicious- looking meal of sweet potatoes and chicken. There were notecards next to each food item - I carefully read each card. No nuts listed. As soon as I ate a sweet potato chunck, I had a reaction. It could have become anaphylaxis - it's happend many times. However, I got Benedryl right away, and avoided a severe allergic reaction. Another woman at my table also had a tree nut allergy, and also had an allergic reaction. Silk Road staff need to be responsive to cutstomers who ask about allergens!!!

Stir fry bar was a hit! Appetizers were exceptional before dinner.
