New York's Premier Palace of Variety & Burlesque

Story

The Slipper Room is the brain child of performer and producer James Habacker. When it opened in 1999 neo-burlesque was in its infancy. Before that time there had been some random shows in lofts and bars around the city, but the Slipper Room was the first venue built specifically to showcase the work of this burgeoning new collective. It was an art project in itself, an artist run venue designed to nurture emerging talent, and push performers to reach their true potential.

It is a gem. Venue offers very fine samples of Burlesque theater. MC's to performers everything is really fun to watch. Late shows are getting more "fun" and left less to imagination.
Such a great show! Get there early if you want a seat. They do have coat check. This was an incredible bang for your buck! The show didn't end until around 2am. Great bar and the show was wonderful! You won't be disappointed!!
We had a great time. The host Wilfredo was most entertaining and all the acts were entertaining... And sexy. We are only sorry we had to call it early before the late show as we have a flight tomorrow.
Excellent show for the price. Such talent and beauty. The hosts were incredible too! 10/10 needs to be a part of your nyc visit. Come early to get a seat in the front row! Totally worth it!!
This burlesque show is just amazing! All of their shows are pretty good and mostly funny, my favorite is the wiggle room hosted by Sir Richard Castle!
