The Strand Smokehouse

Used to go to this place when I lived in Astoria: Very lively atmosphere and the food is great.

Food is 100 percent better than when I was here 3 years ago. Brisket moist and delicious. The pulled pork was flavorful and prepared perfectly. Mac and Cheese was also delicious. I am happy to see they got there stuff together and we will be back.

Interesting spin on traditional BBQ and vegan combo. Fantastic smoked meats probably best in Astoria. The beet salad and eggplant fries were just ok. Sadly service was very slow, even with awesome catered cocktails, the slow service makes it a better takeout spot than eat in.

We used to love the strand before it changed administration. It was affordable and enjoyable. Today we ordered a delivery and it was really overpriced for very little food. The brisket was bland and the chips are just that, random bland chips, what is wrong with fries? A very disappointing experience.

Like the eggplant fries and it comes with a dipping sauce!! If you are looking for Carlsberg beer .... They have it here!! My daughter enjoyed the half pound pulled pork!!

The place was great. The server Natalie was very nice. Smokey da' pear is a fantastic drink and the mac and cheese was so delicious. 5 star definitely recommend trying this place.
