The Tavern Downtown

This is one of my favorite places to grab a nice burger and a beer. The bar area has a ton of seating, which makes it easy to get in, grab a bite, and get out. There are always plenty of beers on tap, and the food choices are pretty good. I myself being a huge fan of the hangover burger, paired with a nice ale or stout. The staff is super friendly, and are always willing to strike up a conversation if you want to have one.

Had a great time here after the Dead show on Thanksgiving eve. The owner, Dave, was most hospitable, and it turns out that we're both from the same county in NJ. Music was good and the staff was very friendly and efficient. My wife and I shared a giant, hand-made pretzel. It comes straight from the fryer, hanging on a banana tree, with two dips. It was excellent! I highly recommend this tavern. Thanks to Dave and the rest of the crew for a fun time and good food!

We were there when it was only 3/4 full, but the service and food was not good. Overcooked burgers, grilled cheese with cold unmelted cheese, clueless staff, and the first person in our party was served dinner 25 minutes before the last person in our party.

Best Wings in CT, hands down. I love the atmosphere, It's great for a night out with friends, or for a bite to eat before an event at the XL center with my family. With over 30 beers on tap they truly have something for everyone.

Plenty of TV's . The food was alright. Beer selection was plenty. When i was there it was dead on a Sunday , which was odd. The bartender was very nice.
