The Tip Tap Room

Always wanted to come here to sit near the massive open windows and people watch. Glad I finally did it. The environment is electric. Food was standard American but well seasoned. Lamb burger and calamari were fantastic. Slight ding for the service. The waiter mixed up my order with another table. Fortunately, the mistake was corrected with no fuss.

I have lived close to this place for a couple years and have only gone for drinks. It’s always packed for dinner and now I know why! The steak tips and beef tenderloin dishes are amazing! The beef tenderloin comes with a blue cheese butter and the smoked apple salsa is such a unique flavor along with the mashed sweet potato and prosciutto bits! The steak was cooked just right. We got the brownie for dessert and that was great too! I loved the small outdoor seating set up they had, will definitely be back!

Very nice place, highly recommend. They took very good care of us, excellent, no rush service. The food was delicious, with a nice selection of off beat items on their menu. The blackened shrimp risotto was very tasty, filets were an excellent cut and perfectly prepared. Nice atmosphere and they have large windows that open onto the street so the street noise can get a little loud but it creates a good vibe and we loved it.

It is a great place to have brunch on the Northeast corner of Beacon Hills. Not crowded. Our brunch is fresh and flavorful. We ordered a Mimosa carafe to share among friends.Food: 5/5

I have never been so impressed with a casual restaurant's food. Don't let the bar vibe fool you. The kitchen whips up some insane stuff. I had the wild game bolognese. My boyfriend had the burger. We split the bao buns and the side of bread with some BOMB homemade butter. Every dish was perfectly cooked, portioned, and flavored. All the drinks were fantastic too. I liked the cocktail the bartender recommended me. 11/10! This place deserves much more notoriety.

Came to Boston from NH for a weekend away with my husband. I researched restaurants for days and ended up picking the Tip Tap Room for our dinner meal. The bread with rosemary butter was to die for!!! I got the bourbon bbq steak tips, apple salsa, and sweet potatoes. I ordered medium rare but they arrived medium well. My husband got the steak frites, ordered medium well. His came out rare. We informed our server right away. They replaced my steak tips but my husband was full at that point and left other rare steak tip behind. We were surprised to see we each received half off our meals due to the mistake. We certainly did not expect this as mistakes happen, but were so grateful. Such a kind gesture. We are definitely going to come back again and we appreciate your kindness and hospitality!

The beer list was varied with great local options for all of you enjoyment. The food was a little on the pricy side but still excellent. Would definitely recommend and would go again when next we visit boston.Food: 5/5

Came for the beer, stayed for all the food. It’s a shame I can only give 5 stars. It’s been a while where every single thing about a place was Excellent! The Wings, the Bao Buns, the Dumplings, the pulled pork sliders, and the brownies dessert were all amazing. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The beers were also great. Service was great. It’s worth the little walk from the parks and the prices you see but ever so worth it. 10 stars.

We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated. Drink & orders were taken. We got our drinks pretty quickly. The food however felt like it took forever. The server never came to check in on our table or offer refills, napkins or anything else really. There were other people running food to tables so we only saw the waitress at the end of our meal to give us the check. Lack of service was definitely some of the worst I've ever experienced. The atmosphere is nice but feels a bit cramped. It's a good place if you're looking to grab a drink. If you're into game meat selection or a hipster flare on the classics this place is for you. Ingredients were super fresh and high quality the flavor combinations are just not for me personally. Based on the disaster service I would never go back.
