The Tire Place

I went to the place yesterday to fix my leaking flat tire and I was blown away by their service! The front desk lady looks the owner proactively approached me outside and asked me about my visit and directed me to the workshop for the service and the dude who fixed my tire was a very quiet hard working guy… the entire service took not more than 10min and most of all the price was way below affordable : I mean my case was minor but the kind of service I have received deserves more than thank you, that’s why I’m contributing here otherwise I’m a very reserved person for online rating. Keep up the good work!

Went there to get a whole set of tires, but didn't have a high budget. Got what I thought looked to be new tires and man it was a surprise to hear they were used. Can't complain for the price and conditions of the 4 tires. Not to mention after deciding to buy the tires, they did it in less the 10 minutes with a full lot. No complaints from me. If your looking for a change of tires and need it done fast, go here guys. I seriously will be coming here every time now.

I had a tire emergency and The Tire Place was fantastic. They did not have the tire I needed at their shop, so they found one and picked it up for me. It was quick, the employees were friendly and helpful, and the price was right. I will use them for my future tire needs and I would highly recommend them.

So one snowy night driving home from Washington DC, i struck a pothole devastating enough to have multiple cars pulled over on the highway, Thankfully i managed to make it into the Hyattsville area before changing a spare tire as well as a missing windshield wiper blade. As the morning comes i am desperately searching for a used tire location that opened early enough as i had work in a short amount of time. Then i discovered The Tire Place. Immediately answered the phone ready to intake any information they could use to find me a tire. Upon arrival i discover i have cracked my rim as well, meaning this was no easy task at hand. What seemed impossible turned into a lovely morning considering my situation as i was treated to phenomenal customer service. Every employee was a delight to come across as they managed to not only bring me a used tire with absolute no defects, They provided me with an replacement rim which fits, works, and looks perfectly normal. Even a replacement windshield wiper blade, all this at a price i couldn't even imagine would be so great. I'm writing this review from work right now as i was able to still make it on time, I've never gone out of my way to make a review but this place deserves it. In the wake of emergency, this should be your first option.

1 star for being fast, otherwise, I would give them zero. They either have defective balancing equipment or don't know how to balance tires properly. Here's why I say this. I went there to have my tires rotated and the guy up-sold me for balancing them all $60. I initially declined but the guy insisted with some explanation that made me doubt so I went with it given that it wasn't too much money. As soon as I hit the freeway and gained some speed the car started vibrating, which it didn't do before the tire-rotation. Went back to the shop and asked for the work to be checked. The guy didn't even looked at the car and told me I needed an alignment job, which their shop does not do. I told him this didn't make sense since rotating tires should do nothing to the alignment. The guy insisted saying it happens. I left irritated and ended up having the tires balanced at another shop. The vibration at speed disappeared.

Didn't need new tires or used ones -- but two brads worked their way into one of mine, so I needed to get 'em plugged. Service was competent, fair, and swift. Based on other reviews I'm tempted to go elsewhere when the time comes to replace all four... but I'm really glad we've got a shop like this in town.

I was traveling in the area when my tire pressure light came on. I stopped in to get topped off and they were super nice. The woman at the front desk was really sweet and helpful. The gentleman came right out to help me free of charge. Thanks for making my trip less stressful!!

Recommended by friends. Showed up with a flat - all tires were wearing badly - cupped - needed an alignment which they do not do. So I decided to buy 4 new tires and then go to a place recommended by my mechanic to get the alignment. was hoping to do it all same day. So they put three tires on and the guy comes out and says somehow they ordered the wrong one so he would put a different tire on and the other would come in that morning. It did not. Nor did it come in that afternoon. Or the next day. Each time I called there was some new excuse. He said they would call but I had to each time. Finally I get a call Saturday afternoon but there is no message. I have to call back. The tire is there. I go in and get it changed. Then the guy wants to see my receipt so that he can mark on it that he changed it I guess because he is afraid I might come back and say he didn't. Like I will be back. Ever. I don't think so. $400 and the tires are not top of the line - Goodrider I think. Yeah it just makes me "tired." Go here at your own risk.

I did not get my tire fixed here because I was in an emergency situation but they provided amazing customer service to me regardless. They even pointed me in the right direction for obtaining what I needed for my tire. Thank you soooo much and I would recommend this venue based on A-mazing customer service. They helped me as much as they could and did not ask for a penny.

Been there years ago many times and had some great deals. I am heading out to see them real soon again. The tire's I ever got from them were like very nice this place is on time. I am driving over an hour and a half to get this deal!
