Story

The Vault Wine Storage provides private wine lockers in a temperature and humidity controlled environment, perfect for aging wines. With many concierge services such as delivery acceptance and a cozy, furnished tasting room and atrium, accessible to the members and their guests, The Vault is a space for local wine enthusiasts to share information and host events.

The brainchild of Deborah Fortini, The Vault is the first of it’s kind in Phoenix. Back in 2010 Fortini began travelling to Phoenix from her native town of San Diego and realized that people were storing their wine at homes within this harsh climate. This sparked the idea to develop a new, custom facility that would serve the wine enthusiast market in Phoenix. She leveraged her 15 years of experience as a real estate broker to find the perfect location, develop a solid business plan and proforma, and start on the design and construction, taking advantage of the still-depressed real estate market.

Clients are able to select varying locker sizes ranging from single case storage up to thousands of cases. Wine can be stored in the original cases, or displayed in custom redwood bottle racking. Clients can have their regular wine shipments sent directly to The Vault so they do not have to worry about their wine sitting out in an uncontrolled environment. As temperature and humidity are two of the most important factors in proper wine storage, The Vault designed the building to include proprietary engineered cross sections to stabilize the environment, making for perfect wine aging conditions. Wine is stored at a consistent 55-57° F with humidity between 60-70° F.

In addition to individual collectors, The Vault provides cellaring services to local retailers, wine importers and international wine clubs who insist on perfect storage conditions with long-term, consistent reliability. As a member of The Vault Wine Storage, you receive invites to specialty tasting events and hosted parties, access to the tasting room and private patio and exclusive membership in The Vault Wine Society.
