The White Dress

Before coming to true society, I had been to 5 bridal salons. I had also previously gotten a dress that ended up not working out. I felt like I landed in super reliable and supportive hands at true society, and had the best time working with Sherry! She helped me to feel reassured and confident in the process, and was such a joy to work with. If you want to have your own private space with comfortable lounge chairs, a beautiful chandelier and champagne - along with amazing staff, check out true society! And yes - sherry did help me say yes to the perfect dress!

I’m not the type to typically write reviews, but with that being said I had to write one for the wonderful over the top experience I had at True Society. My stylist Audrey was such an amazing expert that not only cared about finding the dress of my dreams but cared about making a genuine connection with me. I was nervous budget wise going into this store, but after only spending minutes with her she knew my style and wanted to track down a dress I would truly love and was within budget— going the extra mile by far! She truly made the whole experience one to remember for myself and my ladies. And another honorable mention was the fabulous manager that went above and beyond in pulling dresses that would fit my style. The shop itself has so many fun bridal experiences that I would say sets it apart from others. All I can say is give this wonderful shop your time because you will not regret it. The small touches they provide are truly one of a kind. I’m happy to say I’m a true society bride!

This was my first EVER experience wedding dress shopping and I have to say True Society by White Dress was amazing. I went in the morning with my MOH & her sister and was instantly greeted by smiling staff that were friendly and helpful! Sherry was our assistant and she was FABULOUS! She not only worked with my budget but she showed me other dresses that were below my budget she thought I might like. She picked up my vision and style right away. I would 102982827% recommend Sherry and the Bridal Shop! Thank you for everything.

I went into my first dress appointment hesitant. As a plus size bride, I know how stressful and sometimes disappointing shopping can be, and I didn’t want a special day to turn out how many shopping trips have for me in the past, so I planned on keeping my expectations in check. Every moment at True Society was a lovely surprise. : I want to start by saying how blown away I was by the size selection at True Society by The White Dress. When I received a confirmation phone call before my Saturday appointment to go over some details, I was informed that there would be plenty of sample dresses in my size. I’m typically an 18 in street clothes. This ended up being totally true. While I did find my dream dress on the FIRST TRY, I felt gorgeous in every dress Sherry pulled more on Sherry soon : which I can genuinely say does not happen often for me. I surprised myself with how stunning I felt and how well these dresses shaped around my body. It was a memorable shopping moment for sure. Providing support, helping me in the changing room, and pulling dresses was Sherry! I seriously love this human. Sherry was unbelievably kind, patient with me, and made me instantly comfortable. Changing in front of Sherry was never intimidating, I was always laughing and feeling safe. I was a little nervous to bring my mom dress shopping as she works in the fashion industry and tends to be opinionated on what I wear. Just know Sherry will take you solo to go pull dresses and help elevate your voice. I appreciated this more than I can say. My whole party adored Sherry and I am so thankful that that is who we got paired with. Sherry took a special day and made it exceptional for me and my people. Sherry also pulled my perfect dress on the first go, a total expert at assessing your style and finding something you’ll love. Lastly, the facilities at True Society by The White Dress are stunning. You will love your suite, be welcomed with a glass of champagne, and have massive mirrors that allow you to see your dress at every angle. I had the most amazing experience at True Society Portland with Carmen as my sales associate pictured below. She was so bubbly, fun and authentic. I could tell she truly cared about finding the right dress for me, because she would adapt her selections based on my feedback. She was a wonderful listener and was in my court throughout the whole appointment. She ended up finding me my DREAM dress - it was one of those movie moments where I cried actual tears of happiness. I would highly recommend going to True Society Portland for their beautiful dresses, awesome shopping experience private room with complimentary champagne and their super sweet and caring sales associates request Carmen! 5 stars all the way.

I had an amazing experience at True Society by The White Dress! All my nerves instantly disappeared as I was so warmly greeted by everyone at the front of the store. My stylist, Carmen was incredible! She was so thoughtful as she helped me pull dresses to try on. Always keeping in my mind my venue and what I was hoping to find in my dream dress. She made trying on dresses SO much fun and even provided a tripod so one of my bridesmaids could be with us virtually. All of my girls and I had a blast. I couldn't have asked for a better shopping experience and best of all- I said YES to my dream dress!

The White Dress made shopping a breeze! My great experience started about 24 hours before my appointment, when a rep called to hear how shopping was going. They offered to pull dresses/styles ahead of time to maximize my appointment. My mom was in from out of town and we had already been to 3 shops. Admittedly, I was feeling dejected and not my best self. I loved the style of the store, where I felt like I had privacy and had plenty of options. I never felt rushed during my appointment. But by far the BEST part about my appointment was KATE. From the moment I walked in, I felt like Kate was just as excited about my wedding as I was. You would never guess that she hears countless wedding stories every day. She was invested in every detail and was on a mission to find my perfect dress. Kate hyped me up, she made me feel beautiful and she didn’t try to push anything that was less than perfect. Overall, can’t recommend The White Dress enough, and I’m so happy they are a part of my wedding planning process!

I’m so grateful for the experience at True Society by The White Dress Portland. We arrived a bit early but they were very accommodating and took us back. It was a gorgeous studio with great lighting, we were seated with champagne in no time. I met my stylist Brooklyn and she took me to the dresses, one on one to shop. That was really special to me to be able to pick out a few I loved right from the start. I felt very comfortable with Brooklyn. She is a machine! Hanging dresses, fitting dresses to my body and choosing gorgeous gowns every time. The manager, I believe her name is Mario, she was attentive and sweet and checked up on us multiple times. After about 8 dresses, we found the one! It was hand picked by Brooklyn. I thought I would try it on just for fun and ended up being brought to tears, twice. It was game over. Brooklyn gave me a list of trusted alteration specialists. I can’t WAIT until the dress arrives. Thank you so much, Brooklyn & team at True Society by the White Dress Portland!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at True Society. Not only do they have the most beautiful gowns I could find, but the staff was absolutely incredible. Kate was my stylist and she made me feel so incredibly comfortable and welcome every time I was in for an appointment. Not only is she kind and super easy to talk to, but she is very knowledgable and helpful when trying to find a wedding dress. I also worked closely with the store manager Mariel. She was able to add incredible insight and together Mariel and Kate helped me find the perfect gown, all while dealing with me being a super indecisive bride! I am so grateful for my experience here! If you are a bride to be, I highly recommend True Society as the place to find your dream dress and also meet some amazing people who truly care about their clients!

Tori Wise was my stylist for the day, and I only have positive things to say about her. Right from the start she was extremely welcoming, kind, and attentive. This was my first time in a bridal shop so she gave me the rundown before we started. She listened very closely to what I was looking for in a dress, and instantly knew which dresses to grab from the rack for me to try on. When trying on dresses she made me feel comfortable, which was big for me. She was very thorough is asking me what aspects or details I did and didn’t like about each dress so that she could find the perfect dress for me. If I couldn‘t pinpoint a reason to why I did or didn’t like a dress, she was understanding and didn’t push me to provide more thoughts, which I found very helpful, because sometimes you just don’t know, you know? If I had questions about other color options available or any other questions that she didn’t know of the top of her head, she would instantly go find out. She was also respectful to my budget and chose dresses that were in the price range I was looking for. She did pull one dress that was only a small fraction above my budget, but she let me know before I tried it on and told me the exact price. This gave me the option to not even try it on since it was a just a little above my budget, but the increase was so small that I wasn’t concerned. This ended up being MY dress, and I am in love with it! I am so thankful for Tori and her expertise, my bridesmaids and I had the best time! I 10/10 recommend going here and working with Tori!!
