This is more of a diner than a cafe with a lunch counter, booths along the wall, and tables in the center. Very casual and a great place for lunch. The smoked salmon chowder was OK see Orso for amazing smoked salmon chowder. But the White Spot's claim to fame is indeed their halibut sandwich which was delicious! Fries were also tasty. Service was attentive but not hovering. Would recommend for a casual meal.
Super cute little dine in place in anchorage, right off the heart of downtown. Amazing breakfast I'm not a fan of biscuits and gravy but theirs is definitely worth eating. My reindeer breakfast was cooked perfectly. Their homemade jams are TO DIE FOR! Whatever you do, have jam. Will be returning for lunch.
I will admit, I was getting a little frustrated, but after everything was said and done, this place is FREAKING AWESOME! The breakfast was to die for! The portions are humongous. To where I witnessed couples was sharing a plate of food. Please keep in mind: **Since the facility is small, it can get full quickly, so get there early. ** You have to seat yourself. Find an open table and sit down. ** You may have to wave down your waitress, because they are too busy working and they may not have notice you. ** You may be sitting for some time waiting on your food. We waited for over an hour. Our total duration time 2 hours. But the food was well worth it!
When in Anchorage, this is a great breakfast spot! We loved every bite. Service was wonderful, very friendly folks! My husband had the Reindeer Hash & Gravy with eggs and toast. I had the Low Carb breakfast with scrambled eggs, large sausage patty,v2 large pieces of bacon and sauteed vegetables. Very good flavors for this breakfast lover.

Cool old school diner and great customer service. The food here has been the best breakfast spot we’ve found so far here in town! Low carb breakfast and a veggie omelette with grilled veggies instead of potatoes. The eggs are fresh and the coffee is strong. 5/5!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
This place is an awesome breakfast spot! Kristy was busting her butt to make sure everyone had a great meal. Our only problem was that we were unable to get there for lunch to try their famous halibut sandwich.

Great food, amazing service and a very cool place. Most places that say "hand breaded chicken fried steak" isn't. This was the real thing. Highly recommend.
I loved their old location. $1.50 for a large fries. 1984. I had the halibut fish and chips. Came back home to Tyonek and Made my own lost night. I fly back and forth. I'll be back.Food: 5/5
