Very underrated gym. Equipment for all kinds of workout and fitness styles. Powerlifting, bodybuilding, crossfit, even just simple cardio. There's different areas with different equipments but this one has an inside and an outside. The outside has tractor tires, stones, farmer walks handles, and much more; great place to tear those muscles up and get a sweet tan. The staff is great, the owner CT is very friendly and willing to strike up a conversation. The environment is intense but everyone is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you're looking for a gym in the area. I'd say better than corporate gyms.
If you want a gym to get Work done without distraction, and a place that has everything, this is the spot. So much variety of equipment and attachments, and even the feeling of the resistance on the machines and cables they have is consistent without drag. Always a good workout here
Great gym! When I'm in the area I always go here because I would rather support the small gym then a chain gym. Also the equipment is great helped me stay on track for my uspa Meet
Best gym if your serious about working out, great people own it and workout here, absolutely love this place
Great facility and great staff, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience here. Has all the equipment a serious athelete/lifter could need without all the fluff so it has the right atmosphere for getting results without the cramped basement/garage look that others use to try and create that look. If you are in the area, check it out.
I love working out, but I hate most gyms because I get tired of seeing people work out in sun glasses and lavish gym clothes that they're afraid to sweat in, and socialize for 20 minutes at a machine. The Works Gym is the ONLY gym I thoroughly enjoy. They have a lot of machines other gyms don't, strongman equipment out back, dumbbells for days, and everyone is about their business. CT owner is always helpful and welcoming, no one tries to sell you anything, and the trainers are all legit. I swear by the Works for life!
Great place to work out my trainer Lavelle is the man
Sick spot great place for them phocused workouts where it's not over crowded and eyes arnt constantly watching you.. love how it's set up has that manly feel with a good tase in rock. Punching bags big area out back for cardio and more. This is the type of place iv wanted to workout in for along time and finally found it without having to travel further from home... cause alot of these type of style gyms are hard to come by unless your in the LA area.
The Works Gym and it’s owner, CT, we’re excellent hosts for my colleague and I allowing us to train while traveling on business from the east coast. Great equipment and atmosphere- thank you!
This is strictly regarding equipment, everything else is on point, including the staff. The gym lacks important equipment geared toward powerlifting, but training in general. There’s no benches with adjustable arms.. not all of us are T-Rex’s, we need adjustable arms to lift up the bar up higher so we can just slide the bar off the arms to position the bar over our chest. Not begin our press just trying to get the bar off the arms and into position, that’s bad for training. There’s an 80lbs DB that’s missing. Been broken for a few weeks now, hasn’t been replaced. Again no good for training when the program calls for that specific weight for a specific set of a specific exercise. There isn’t a deadlift bar jack, you need to purchase a wedge to slide the weights off/on the bar. It also lacks Ohio and Texas bars for squats and deadlifts. However they do have a 55lbs squat bar I think it’s a Texas squat bar There’s no glute ham raise GHR contraption, which is a massive hamstring builder strength/size and will increase your lifts DLs and Squats. There’s only 1 weighted belt.. and it’s not easy to use when trying to do weighted dips. I think they only have 1 pair of chains for barbells. And I haven’t seen any bands either. The gym appears to try to appease all crowds but the gym isn’t large enough for this. There’s strong man, powerlifting, and CrossFit equipment amongst other equipment like cardio and other machines. I hope that the owner either reevaluates the equipment and replaces some of them. Or if true that there’s plans to move to a larger facility that there’s truly more focus on the powerlifting side. I think they need to hire a gym/sports analysis to really layout all the equipment they will need without unnecessary redundancy. This is not to damage the image of the gym owner, staff, nor it’s current facility. It is constructive criticism in hopes they will see a demand for certain equipment. Powerlifting and powerbuilding hybrid of powerlifting and bodybuilding is in huge demand and there are not enough facilities supplying the equipment to support said demand.
