Theatre of the Imagination Summer Camps

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience my daughter had at Theatre of the Imagination. We so appreciated Miles' enthusiastic acceptance of my daughter, his willingness to make accommodations, and all the positive feedback she received over the course of the program. Miles and team does such a great job of bringing out the drama in the kids and it was a joy to watch them do their thing!

OUTSTANDING! My daughter has enjoyed countless classes and camps with Theatre of the Imagination. Miles and his team do a fantastic job of creating a safe and fun environment for kids to be creative and silly. The themes and performances are hilarious and even friends love joining to see what the kids have been up to! For our summer camps, I have never seen my daughter more thrilled to go to camp everyday. Thank you, Miles and Team! Kansas City is lucky to have this talented group working with our young theatre super stars!

What a blast my kiddos had at Theatre of the Imagination! Sending my 8-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy there, and they are really enjoying the time and environment! Day one was a bit rocky for my little guy – but the team and staff were so welcoming and understanding. They turned his frown upside down, and he have been having a great time after that first day. The Thursday night show was nice since we usually have plans Friday night. Both of my kids enjoying being on stage, and the way they organized it was perfect for us parents. Big shoutout to Mr. Miles and his team for creating such a fantastic place for kids to learn, play, and express their inner-self. Can't wait for next summer!

DJ Miles was AMAZING at our daughter's birthday party. He was so easy to work with and communicate with before the event. On the day of the event he helped us re-arrange the room, then when it was time for cake he helped us setup tables and chairs... and then helped streamlined the cake cutting process and helped serve it to all the guests. Afterwards I literally said "That was a genius way of handling that, and the way I would have done it would have been so much worse!" He really was a one-stop-shop birthday party in all the ways, and we are so appreciative! The girls had the absolute time of their lives, he had them engaged and having fun the entire time. I know this party was a core memory for them. We'll be recommending him to everyone!

Theatre of the Imagination has so many amazing programs and classes for aspiring performers! For beginners and advanced students alike, Theatre of the Imagination is an immersive and hands on exploration into the world of performance art that helps its students to develop vital communication and leadership skills. It is the perfect environment for fostering creativity, friendship and FUN!! I absolutely loved my time as a student with this organization. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to work as an instructor with them for several years. It was one of the most educational and rewarding opportunities that I have ever had. Miles is an AMAZING teacher who has explosively positive energy that translates directly into every single performance. Your kids will have such a good time taking on the roles of zany characters and learning how much fun it is to be creative while working on a team. I highly recommend Theatre of the Imagination to anyone looking for a fresh and exciting experience!

We LOVE Theatre of the Imagination! Our daughter has practically grown up there. We include several sessions each year as part of her Summer schedule and are never disappointed! They even offer classes during the school year. She loves her time there; making new friends, playing games, and mostly learning how to be dramatic. And she's really grown in her acting abilities thanks to Mr. Miles and his talented staff. It's always a special treat attending the performances at the end of the week of classes—lots of laughs and audience interaction. We highly recommend Theatre of the Imagination!

I have to thank Mr. Miles and everyone who provided my son with the most wonder experiences and summer! My son is very creative and his mind is always coming up different ways to act out movies and replicate characters. He absolutely loved every day he was at camp. He loved it so much he will do 5 this summer. I can’t say enough about how thankful I am for Theatre of the Imagination for providing my son with an opportunity to be himself and get to do what he loves! I would absolutely recommend Theatre of the Imagination to anyone wanting to act, dance, play or just have fun!

Theatre of the Imagination is a dream for kids and parents! My daughter has had trouble fitting in at other summer camps and experiences. NOT HERE. Everyone is so kind, Mr. Miles and staff are incredibly engaging and they teach the kids valuable lessons through drama games and scripts. My daughter is so happy on weeks she has gone and wants to go every week next summer. The staff work so hard to make sure everyone has a great time. So lucky to be a part of this awesome adventure.

I went to Theatre of the Imagination as a kid and absolutely loved it! I was always a dramatic kid and was able to really shine on stage with confidence here. Miles is an amazing director and always writes great plays/musicals that gives everyone an equal chance to have a part and really stand out. I gained confidence and was able to have fun as well. While coming to camp here every summer for probably close to 10 years- I made so many fun memories and made even more lifelong friends who I still keep in touch with. I had such a great experience here and would recommend it for anyone and everyone! 10/10

I went to Theatre of the Imagination as a kid, and it was an extremely rewarding experience. I am 20 now and still have life long friendships from when I was 11 years old at camp. Theatre of the Imagination gave me a chance to express myself and feel comfortable with myself. I loved acting and creating shows, and started my theatre experience which led me into the theatre program at my high school. 9 years later, I have come back and seen the extraordinary things that this camp provides for kids. I have seen shy little kids shine on stage and it is an incredible thing to witness. Leaving camp this summer feels like leaving my second home. Cant wait to come back next summer!!
