Thundermist Health Center of West Warwick

I have been going here for 10+ years now and have never had an issue. I originally came to Thundermist because at the time, I had no health insurance and a job that did not pay much. Thundermist offers a sliding scale which is great. They will never turn anyone away due to inability to pay. I have insurance now and still continue to go here. I see a nurse practitioner, and she's fantastic. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs fast, affordable and good care. I would however would not recommend their dental office in Warwick. (It's separate from main health office.) I had a dental assistant what was rude and very rough when she was trying to get x-rays of my teeth. She kept hamming the x-ray film in my mouth and making me gag. She seemed annoyed when I told her she was making me gag so much I was about to throw up. Further, she tells me that I have 8 cavities...which was a lie. I found another dentist for second opinion despite me not having insurance at the tine, and paid a lot if money out if pocket. The new dentist took x-rays (professionally and gently.) and told me I didn't have any cavities at all.

They have a LOT of turnover in staff at the front desk and so they give out wrong information frequently. Some members of nursing staff (Erin) seemed homophobic. Overall, not a very well organized or managed health center, despite the presence of one or two good care providers. UPDATE: Doctor referred me to see a specialist on my appointment on 3/9. STILL WAITING FOR THAT REFERRAL. The organization is badly managed, and patients' health suffers.

The doctors, nurses, therapists and reception staff treat people with dignity and professionalism. As a member of the transgender community, I cant say enough good about the services they provide. There isnt a single day that Ive gone there when I havent received a kind word, a smile and professional care from the staff. Kudos people ...keep it up!⚘

trash. my father was told he didn't have diabetes and it turns out he actually does! not going here again.
