Tiffany’s platform is a wonderful resource to access Feldenkrais and Jeremy Kraus content from home either live or at a time to suit. Such a wide range of both individual lessons and life changing well designed series by very experienced practitioners that achieve excellent results. Very highly recommended.
SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE THAT GIRL A GIANT THUMBS UP! Dear Tiffany, With so much available in the Movement and Creativity Library and with my limited time, when you said "You don't have to do everything - once a week can be a meaningful practice." Meaningful is not even a big enough word for it when I come to the practice so stiff and end up with life and freedom and surprised every time that something so seemingly simple can do something so great. I like how you are putting all the new stuff into which level it fits into so even if we are not keeping up with how often you post, we can stay in the right lane with where we have gotten so far Best wishes this week and keep on keeping on. It really makes a big difference to our lives. Sincerely, Victoria
I love the multifaceted nature of Tiffany’s practice and the warmth, passion, and compassion she brings to all of her classes and other offerings. A friend recommended that I explore the Feldenkrais Method to manage health issues, and Tiffany’s practice came highly recommended. I have now taken 3 series of group classes with her, from an intro to Feldenkrais to exploring curiosity and compassion. Every class has challenged me to reset or even toss my expectations for what I would get out of that session. Even though I found certain movements to be quite difficult, Tiffany created a safe space for each member of the class to explore different ways of moving and learn what our bodies needed in that moment. I gained much more than pain management: a more nuanced sense of my body, an attuned attention to subtle changes, an open curiosity to what seemed possible. Her classes also have an online option, which has been great for when I've been unable to attend in person. Tiffany is also an artist and writer, which enrich her teaching and make her practice quite unique. There is something rather whimsical yet intentional about the way she experiments and invites everyone to join her. She tries new things, creates space for you to be curious and creative, and draws inspiration from whatever she is currently learning about. These qualities are well reflected in her Movement and Creativity Library, a wealth of resources for exploring different modalities of movement and fostering creativity and productivity. I’ve quite enjoyed how exploring the library has expanded my horizons and even injected new enthusiasm and energy into my own creative endeavors.
I started working with Tiffany a few months ago and can't recommend her highly enough. Her innate curiosity, compassion and sensitivity are, in my mind, an embodiment of the Feldenkrais Method itself. In working with Tiffany, I've come a long way in regaining movement possibilities that had been off-limits, in finding comfort and fluidity of movement, and in listening to my body in the moment. We've done nearly twenty FI private lessons so far. Tiffany is always present-minded, checking in with me to see where I am on a given day, and it's clear she also thinks about what the progression of steps in our work will be. Tiffany has shown that she can tackle any issue we're working on from multiple angles. I feel extremely well cared for in her hands. I have also done a number of group ATM lessons with Tiffany. She is clear and thorough in her instructions to the group, and has an incredibly wide variety of lessons to draw from. I also recently began a 6-week series of Authentic Movement group classes with Tiffany. The series has been a lot of fun so far; it strikes me as a very complimentary practice to the Feldenkrais work, as well as a great creative outlet. Tiffany is hands-down a top-notch Feldenkrais practitioner, and I am excited to keep working with her and learning about myself through this work.
I first began working with Tiffany a few months ago, and let me say it's astonishing how much it has helped me. Last fall I had a minor knee injury that kept me in a brace for several months. When I would feel like it was getting better, I wouldn't wear the brace or would walk and subsequently end up aggravating it severely. I wasn't sure what to do besides keep wearing my brace and try not to use it as much as possible, something that is difficult when living in the city with no car. After working with Tiffany in a one-on-one hands-on lesson, I realized how uneven my hips were from not only the brace but also from patterns of standing and sitting my whole life. By going to many group classes and workshops with some one-on-ones in between, Tiffany helped me get out of my brace and learn how to move in more successful ways. Reading Feldenkrais' teachings have also helped me realize some habitual patterns of holding my body, but a lot of is from working with Tiffany. She has been helping me regain my body, something that I thought was doomed with pain and struggle for the rest of my life, and living and moving in better and easier ways. It's incredible what such subtle movements can do for one's body, instead of straining and stretching the muscles to make one feel better or heal from an injury. I am so thankful for our continued work together and plan on continually integrating Feldenkrais into my life.
Tiffany's understanding of safety around bodies and space is so necessary and present in her work. The community she helped create through the Authentic Movement course I took this past fall was astounding in that unfortunately few folks prioritize building a safer space for expression and holding the way she does. It's so simple, really, to vocalize that strangers coming together to share the depth of their bodies and minds is a serious thing, something that demands guidance and time and space. Tiffany gives this and participates in the leadership and listening needed to provide the opportunity of creating a safer spaces for all.
So far I've done 2 workshops, 2 classes, and 1 private session with Tiffany. I've been able to take valuable lessons from her and the Feldenkrais approach that add to my personal movement practices. The slow, careful movements have helped me to explore how to comfortably move in ways which are normally uncomfortable - or inaccessible! She's shown me that engaging my muscles slowly + deliberately - and then letting them flow back into their natural position - can give me insight into my most habitual patterns of movement. From this I've started to see which habits are useful and which drain my energy. Learning how to slowly approach tense points - but back off from them as soon as I sense strain - has helped to relieve a lot of tightness in my neck and knees. I've also realized that my yoga practice need not be limited to yoga - I can play with all sorts of techniques to develop my mind & body!
I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to explore Authentic Movement on a weekly basis throughout my internship with Tiffany through Lesley University. At the start of the semester, I was nervous to be seen moving with my eyes closed in a way that felt like a real-time communication of my body's needs, but very quickly I was able to overcome much of my self-consciousness and to tune into what my body was requesting. In tandem with Feldenkrais ATM, this practice helped me gain a better understanding of my body and how it speaks to me in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.
Tiffany is a wise and intelligent practitioner and healer. She helped me to shift my awareness of my holding and pain patterns and as a result I was able to work into more space in my body and life. I had been in a creative rut and our sessions helped me to start working again.
