Timber Wood Fire Bistro

About

Timber is a local restaurant focusing on all wood fired cuisine, oven and grill.

"Ever since the first caveman decided to slap a side of mammoth over the cave fire, man and woman has enjoyed the flavor of food cooked over a wood fire. At Timber Wood-Fire Bistro, all of our dishes are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients. They are then cooked either over our state-of-the-art wood burning grill or in a brick oven heated by the embers of logs.Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy."

Really like this place. Found it by accident on my way to airport in a time crunch and they took care of me fast as they promised. Ordered Wedge Salad, Lamb Burger, Iced Tea. Wedge Salad was great. Lamb Burger was really good and made from a lot of Lamb Meat, so if you are sensitive to Lamb taste, this one definitely have it. But the jam and cheese did not ask but I think it was goat cheese was a great combination. If anything I would only change the bun to brioche but other than that great sandwich. I have to talk about the Iced Tea, bartender told me it was a local brand and I have to tell you it's one of the best Iced tea I have had, you could taste the flavor of the black tea leaves and it was very refreshing, I think I had like 4 refills on it. Good atmosphere and good food, I hope to get back soon when I am not in time crunch.
The food was delicious and came out quickly. The service at the chef's table was slow for beverages and there were only 3 of us. Once we moved to the bar we had excellent service from the bartenders. Also, I asked about the cinnamon roll that my sister said would come with our brunch but we were never offered. The roll had been warmed to long and was chewy and inedible. I would return to give another try because the food was delicious and the price on the bottomless is fabulous.
I will say our server did a tremendous job. He explained he was busy, but still took the time to give us a rundown of the company, the restaurant, and the food preparation. 5 stars to him. For the food itself, the wings were great. Cooked perfectly, and the molasses BBQ was awesome. The blackened salmon salad was underwhelming. A plate full of lettuce with a piece of over-cookee, under-seasoned salmon. Just wasn't worth it. Presentation on the Mac N Cheese was good, however, as blasphemous as it sounds, there was just too much cheese. A good thick sauce with a light melted topping would have been perfect. The pesto style drizzle on top also added a strange taste I wasn't a huge fan of. I'd like to go back and try their lamb burger at some point, as I've yet to see anything like it in town. So we'll see
Seems like a not so hidden gem of Omaha. Timber was very accommodating to our 9 person group with a baby. They opened up a whole new room for us. Service was fast, polite, accurate. Coffee was definitely better than a lot of other brunch places. Great atmosphere too. The wood piles gave a nice cozy feel despite an open floor plan. The smell of the wood burning stove was great too. overall I would certainly come back here if given the chance. I got the Tinga and chicken tostada
So good I totally will recommend this place to family's who want a fancy restaurant but also have kids. The waiter was amazing very patient kind and helpful. That's a 5 star in my book
Went here for a quick lunch before CWS game and was a bit disappointed. We got a couple of drinks which were bit pricey but good. The let down was the pizza. Customized the pizza for just pepperoni and sausage topping and tho the crust and sauce tasted great, the crust and the toppings never stayed together and separated every time.
Went in specifically for the Beef Wellington on a Saturday evening for a date with my husband. Starters and drinks were good, the main course was jus okay. Vegetables were burnt to a crisp, potatoes were outrageously salty, Wellington looked like it was falling apart, wine gravy was the best I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable. Would absolutely go back and just not order the Wellington ever again.
Had a great evening!! Sarah was our server and did an amazing job!! I had the Filet and my buddy had the Salmon. Highly recommend. Delicious meal. We had the shrimp, jalapeño bacon skewers and the Milanese meatballs. Everything was amazing.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Great atmosphere and service, pretty good food! Prices very reasonable for the dining experience. We dined in for brunch and while impressed with the unique menu, we concluded the food might be a little much for our personal tastes. What I mean by this is that we modified the dishes we ordered because we didn’t love all of the ingredients or we didn’t want everything mixed together. The chicken on our chicken and waffles and chicken biscuit had good flavor, just very salty and the breading was close to being burnt. The inside was still juicy though. The biscuit didn’t have much flavor, so I was thankful they had honey and butter for me to add. The hashbrowns also lacked flavor and could’ve used some of the crisp that the chicken had. Waffle was also very plain and while we weren’t fans of the pomegranate sauce on the waffle, the Hollandaise was delicious! Also, the scrambled eggs were amazing! Our server brought us a cinnamon roll to share and it was pretty good. Probably the best part of the meal. And we were thankful for this freebie since the portion sizes were a bit smaller than expected. Brunch might not be our cup of tea here, but we will for sure come back to try their pizza!
Highly recommend for brunch! The wings were fantastic for an appetizer! I got the crispy chicken it was very good! The sandwich was huge!
