Update: They have added a Self Check Out area with 4 registers. Convienent, fast great add-on. Favorite location near home, one of their older store it's easy to find in the Kaimuki Shopping Center lower level. No matter what time of day there's always a steady amount of shoppers till closing. My favorite time to shop is after 830pm. You will find a take-out food department and seafood department with your normal produce & meats. A decent liquor area near the cash registers. Majority of the time the Store Manager always visible in the front area. Friendly and helpful staff. The store is s pretty good with their inventory. Highly recommend shopping here!
Watch sell-by dates and store bread, bagel and fish cake items carefully. Mold on bagels 6 days after purchase stored on counter top, fish cake moldy but not sure how long it was in my refrigerator, no more than 5-6 weeks I think. Also, refrigerate mustard and if it gets too liquidy and upsets your stomach, discard it, IMHO. Be careful of discounted perishables, store/refrigerate carefully and observe all prudent precautions during pandemic to make sure vendors are properly rotating stock, FIFO, First In First Out. IMHO. Times is my go-to grocery store so I will just be more careful and take longer to carefully choose my perishable items.
Great place to pickup last minute grocery items. They got the best variety of veggies and fruits in their produce section too!
Very good poke, much better than Safeway or Foodland for the price, but my recently girlfriend got the spicy ahi, and almost immediately got very sick and when we got to the ER they instantly diagnosed her with scromboid poisoning, which comes from the improper storage of raw fish. I called just to let them know they should probably throw away the rest of the poke so no one else gets sick and the lady told me that no one else had gotten ill and seemed very uninterested. She told me a manager would call me back but no one ever did. Good poke but definitely not worth getting messed up over haha.
Their deli and bakery departments are small but they have a great selection. The in house items that I have tried so far were all really good and the portions were a good size for the price. The store as a whole is shopper friendly with space enough in each isle. They have a good variety of brands to pick from and overall I think the price was fair. All the times that I have been there they have had items on my shopping list that were discounted for that visit and I never saw sold out or empty spots on the shelves.

Great place to get grocery. Great staff and the checkout moves quickly
I'm glad for the self checkout, makes things go a lot easier.
I knew exactly what I needed before I came here so it wasn't much of a "browse and compare prices" type of outing. I only had to ask a clerk one question about the general location an item I needed. He gave me an aisle number and where specifically on the shelf to look. He gave me more information than I needed which sometimes can be a hassle because of how long it takes for them to get it out of their mouth. Thankfully, his information was relevant, concise, and perfectly accurate. It made my day slightly easier, a tiny bit more efficient, but most importantly it cheered me up to see someone do their job to the best of their ability not for attention, a pay raise, or brownie points, simply because they take pride in their work and always give it 100 percent, just based on the principle of it. Salute to that young man! I hope one of his bosses recognizes his value and work ethic and promotes him to a position where he can be of even more value. If not, the universe usually has it's ways of making sure some doors of opportunity open up in front of him
I go to Times primarily for the plate lunches. They are tasty and are really cheap. Staff is all friendly.
