Reviews
I try to be fair when writing reviews and give both the pros and the cons. That said, pros of this campground are hard to come by. It is categorically terrible in nearly every way imaginable. If you are thinking about going to a Timothy Lake campground, please do yourself a favor and book the Timothy Lake South campground. The south park is actually clean, with nice level spots and has some semblance of orderliness. The North park is a complete disaster from the old, run-down facilities, small overgrown and un-level campsites, to utter neglect of any upkeep, to zero regulation of guests and people entering the park at will, topped off with a general feeling of haphazard management. The ownership is apparently the same for Timothy Lake North and Timothy Lake South, and it is very apparent that they have written the North park off as a lost cause and choose to put the majority of their resources into the South park. It is hard to blame them, as unfortunately, Tim Lake North may indeed be too far gone to bring back. If, when you are camping, you like desperately counting down the hours until it is time to go home, this is probably the place for you. Other than the annual site holders, who failed to supervise their children and allowed them to leave garbage all over the park and play in the water hook ups on vacant sites, most other campers gave off a mutual vibe that they were merely in survival mode- more concerned with self preservation and less with recreational camping.

This campground opened for the season on May 1st, and we stayed Memorial Day weekend. The sites were not cleaned up at all. It doesn't matter to me that a storm happened a few days earlier, that doesn't excuse the fact that you couldn't even find the water hookups or sewer drains because they completely covered in leaves. Also, they DO NOT enforce the quiet hours rule at all! We were behind the tenting section, and I swear these people must have all known each other, because the entire weekend it was nothing but loud stupid music and being loud and having a spotlight that shone right over into our site. I called Friday night about these people, and every night after was the same thing. If they actually had staff patrolling here, maybe this could have been taken care of. And to one of the other commenters, no not everyone parties when they go camping, and even if you are drinking, you don't need to be obnoxious like these people were. This is a family campground, and these rules should be enforced. I also noticed how much trash was strewn around the playground, my three year old actually was trying to clean it up. This is absolutely ridiculous that my toddler cleans up better then this staff. We have never stayed at another campground through Thousand Trails where we experienced this kind of lack of care. We will not stay here again unless we can be assured that things will change.

As I read the reviews for this campground, I wonder if we all stayed at the same park. I am a frequent camper at Timothy Lake North and had an absolutely enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Yes, the grass was high in spots, but the staff was there upon request cutting it. My children and I attended all the activities there. The girl that runs them was phenomenal. The lady that works the store always had a smile and was so pleasant to everyone, even those that were quite unpleasant to her.
The only “stain” of the weekend was one camper in my area. Him and his family were just awful. His water line broke but the staff was there immediately and had it repaired in less than 5 minutes. He kept complaining that it was a “geyser “, but it was maybe 5” inches high if that. I saw him a few times over the weekend and his behavior towards the staff was embarrassing. His comments were almost always sarcastic and at times bordering on verbally abusive. I only wished they had asked him to leave.
As campers, we are all responsible for cleaning up after ourselves. Don’t blame staff if people leave their garbage on the ground. Blame the campers.
I saw staff and even the manager out patrolling the park on a regular basis.
Thank Timothy Lake North for a fantastic weekend.

great location but need to open more spaces for motor homes and Elite program members, too many seasonals, also Trim trees (overhead) from rubbing on top of the RV roof.

my family and i stayed here from wed threw memorial weekend till tuesday and we had a great time. considering the huge storm that just blew threw and took out the power for a couple days the week before the holiday, the sites were alot more picked up then I expected. i took my daughter down to the activities center Saturday morning and she had a blast with the other kids for a good 2 hours. the pool was clean and running, everything worked on our site. the employees I did meet were very friendly. reading some of these new reviews id like to say if you brought it with you then u throw it away or it goes back with you, that's not the camps fault if other campers are leaving garbage around. if you're expecting your campsite to be perfectly flat then you prob havnt really camped before, memebers are allowed to come, picnic and go home if they want or camp out... The campground was quiet till about Saturday night but who doesnt party on vacation?... we had a blast, and have no serious complaints, we have been camping here for a good 5 or 6 years now and always come back. :) :)
