I was there 2 days ago to purchase a shoe, I had barely spent 5 minutes in the store and I was trying on a shoe and the salesman who was attending me pointed upwards towards the roof saying there are cameras watching and they have a policy there that if someone wore shoes for more than 10 minutes they have to buy it. The name of the salesman was Shafeer. I haven’t had such a horrible experience as a customer anywhere in the world. Nevertheless I bought the shoe for its craftsmanship but a big thumbs down to this store and it’s management. Also they packed the shoe up in a box and handed it to me in a Tods paper bag and to my surprise when I got home and removed the box from the bag, the box they had packed the shoes in was torn and in a terrible state. I am extremely disappointed. Never buying from this brand again.
I walked into the store and no one would help me, so I ask this guy for a pair of shoes and he looked me up and down to see what designer I was wearing or not wearing. He was rude and arrogant to my wife and I. I’ll never be back !!!!
Excellent customer service provided by Spencer. If only all sales interactions can be this pleasant. Quality product and service. Recommended!
I purchased over the phone from this store and had several negative points. First, one of the staff was aggressive, rude and maybe someone should train her how to be nice and professional she was almost yelling at me!. I talked to one of the managers and all he did was understanding my concern which was a great job of him! At least he could have offered an apology. Lastle, the shoes I purchased got lost and I had to call the store one week later then they figured out! This is weird. Finally they could have sent me the trcking number but anyway, last purchase from that store
The most awful experience. Not even close to high end stay away. My first and last with this company.The only person that was even remotely professional was the door greeter. We stood in showroom without so much as a hello for 5 minutes. Came to do an exchange from online purchase after we received an improper size. We had to go to women’s section to find someone , Jeannie asked what she could do for us and from the beginning with an attitude. She saw the bag and I guess because it was a return in her eyes right away was rude. We only wanted to exchange for the proper size as it said online it was a men’s us size 10 but in fact was a size 12 men’s us. Didn’t listen and right form the beginning said it is a men’s 10 we use uk sizing. I said it’s not a 10 at all she rolled her eyes and said she isn’t going to argue and we can’t exchange online merchandise in store because it’s not the same. Even though I said I went online and they sent me a email to return in store. Nonetheless, between the attitude and just lack of common decency and customer service, I will never shop at Tods again. All I wanted was a shoe that fit I was willing to spend more money as we liked several shoes in showroom. It’s fine we left went to real high end stores and got treated with decency and not blatant boredom and disrespect. Don’t waste your money Allen Edmonds, Gucci and Louis Vuitton miles better. This was a gift and turned into a nightmare.Do holiday shopping elsewhere. Manager was worthless too let her speak like that and didn’t do anything just said I can take your email. Don’t bother thanks a bunch.
Yesterday I had the most humiliating experience in this store. I wanted to exchange a handbag for another color which I received as a gift from my friend in California. They don’t include gift receipts in purchases. I gave them the name of my friend and they saw on the computer that she purchased several handbags but two in yellow instead of my white one. They said that wasn’t enough proof of purchase and sent me home insinuating that mine wa s stolen and I was trying to return it . Finally my friend contacted the California store and they contacted the NY store. They had some attitude in that store. I told my friend never to buy a gift from Tods.
Purchased a pair of Leather Gommino Horsebit Moccasins here. Just a few regular wears of the shoe, the bottom was visibly worn off. I went to store on Madison avenue. After fight, they took the shoes, and sent pictures to Italy for review. after 2 months of waiting, Italy says it is normal wear and tear. Terrible doesn't describe it this company. Stay away!.. The manager Amelia Porchia was trying to be helpful, but she didn't return my calls multiple times, and promised to call me back over those 2 months of waiting. My first experience with this shoe/company will be my last. After 2 months, customer support finally called me. Said no to refund or exchange. Offered to pay for the shoe to be restored at leather spa. what is the point of restoring a shoe that was worn 3 times?! They seemed to think they were doing me a big favor. oh, and the shoe is 35% cheaper on Amazon. an un-necessary extra insult to injury. This lovely Madison store can keep my shoe, I don't want it, nor the reminder of them.
I have been waiting forever to get into NYC and grab a Tod’s handbag. I am thrilled to report, mission accomplished. From the doorman to my favourite salesperson Stefano Simonelli it was such a great experience. When I travel I tend to dress down and very comfortable so my outfits are not fancy. BLATANT DISCRIMINATION!!! The only reason it has two stars is because Tod's makes good products, but I find the staff is discriminatory. Stayed in the shop for a while and bought two pairs of shoes and nothing was offered, in came some white dude and immediately he was asked if he wanted coffee.
They do not accept refund, only exchange in the same store and obviously you are not informed during your initial purchase… never saw this in NYC before.
