Nick is the owner, master barber and a great guy. His late father was Toddy. Classic barber shop ambiance, friendly conversation and a great haircut await. Finishing touches are done the right way with a straight razor. Great spot for kids and adults alike.
Very good cut from a barber with skills and warm chair-side manner. His pup, "Scrappy", is very nice. Neighborhood regulars stop by to chat, and his price is too generous! I want him and his small, tidy shop to stay in business! Tip Nick well. : UPDATE for 2024: STILL GREAT CUTS! Fine conversation, too.
Great neighborhood shop - can almost always walk in, friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices - a gem
Toddy’s an old-school barber who grew up in the city and has been cutting hair in the neighborhood for years. Not a salon but a barber. Not too many like Toddy left in the city. Show up, wait, then get a haircut at an affordable price!
I walked in and was greeted right away by the owner. The haircut is great and he used a straight edge razor which was nod to yesteryear. It has an old school barbershop charm. I would recommend going later in the day when it's not busy - you'll be in and out looking sharp for a great price!
Wanted to let you know that I came by and spritzed the spot my dog peed very briefly on your sign down w/ simple green, though i'm pretty sure the rain had washed the trace amounts of urine off by the time I returned. Sorry about that again. He's >10 years old and recovering from a knee tear, so once he lifts his leg I can't correct him too quickly without risking reinjury. I try to be very careful about where he pees. I keep him curbside so he doesn't pee on people's properties; might I suggest you keep your sign on the property side of the sidewalk and away from the curb if you don't want the occasional dog to pee on it? this is the first time he has by the way, and it was literally 2-3 seconds before I got him to stop. But I'll try to remember not to walk down 12th anymore so we don't have a reoccurrence. - Your neighbor, Margaret.
Our 9 month old grandson was the 4th generation to have his haircut at Toddy's. Nicky did a great job and my grandson looked so handsome when done. 3 generations had their haircut together that day and it's a memory we won't forget.
Freaking love this place! The barber - Nick, was very friendly and professional. I definitely gonna come back here more often
Fairly new to being a permanent regular. Great cut, attention to detail and good price. Nick seems like a great dude too. Great talks.
