I'm from DC, just recently moved to Baltimore. In DC I love my fried wings with rice and gravy. I ordered this at Tony's grill and I was very disappointed. The chicken wings were huge, which I dont like and they gave me a little container with gravy mixed with the rice. I'm used to normal size wings with a tray of rice and gravy on the side I can pour on myself. I ll just stick to their fried shrimp and fries which are pretty good.
I found this place by accident when we came up to Odakon some years ago. This time I brought my two Best Friends & they love this place. Food: 5/5
Ive been going here for years. I love their chicken boxes!
The employees and owner were very kind. The food was large portioned but very bland in flavor. Fried chicken very dry and bland. Lo mein overdone and super sweet/too much soy sauce. The fried rice was not edible after one bite. The gyro was also not up to par on quality nor flavor. The dinner roll was decent. The watermelon slices were perfect.
Hit a home run with the chicken noodle soup! It was AWESOME. That's my go to when I am sick with a cold and the soup was perfection. Didn't need any pepper or salt. Also got a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato on rye. That needs some finessing. It might have been grilled in too much oil but it was heavy and kind of soggy. The slices of the tomato were too big. The prices are very good for the quality of food.
Great food, great value. Wait times can be on the longer side during the busier times of the day but nothing unreasonable. Have had the fried chicken meal and the breakfast platter. Both are good.
Tony's food is always good . If you need something good and fast that will hit the spot try Tony's in Pig Town South West Baltimore .Takeout: Yes
I told myself I would never write a google review, but after receiving a chicken box from this establishment I had to. If there chicken box had an attitude it would be nonchalant. Terrible, it's flavorless and lacking love. I won't be patronizing Tony's ever again, I was better off going next door to 7-Eleven for a slice of highly processed cheese pizza. Hopefully they see this and decide to do better.
It was just that...Okay... I had Meatloaf wasn't awful but I also order Lake Trout and fish was mushy. The place was mostly clean and service was nice. We need better Soul Food restaurants with a Soulful Ethnic group.
I like this place, especially when the owner and he's wife where primarily the one's running it. Lately food quality has been going down but the place is affordable and convenient. Not my best review mostly because I stop frequently coming here.
