This place is for sure a must try on your list!!! We took 3 of our server’s recommendations and we loved it!!!! The menu can be hard to understand if you’ve never been before so don’t feel bad if you need explaining. We had to get our server to break it down for us. And we had someone at the bar who was training to be a server - who by the way was FANTASTIC!!! - and gave us the411 on the dishes and what was what. The dishes were Amazing!!!! Every single one of them!!!! We had such a great time. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great service. Great place. I hope to come back next time I’m in Detroit.
I visited for lunch during my work break; it was not over crowded. We sat at the bar and had a drink first - by choice. The bar is huge and beautiful. We were seated in the lovely atrium which is visually spectacular. The natural light offers a comforting relaxing vibe. I ordered the dry aged-burger which was very filling and the caramelized onions made it extra flavorsome. I recommend this restaurant for location, service and because my lunch was scrumptious. I also like that I can see the chefs cooking and interacting with each other. If you work downtown, you can catch a quick bite here and still make it back to work on time.
I dined here last night, second time coming in since the renovations. The first time I came, I sat at the bar. Both experiences were fantastic, the service was top of the line. I enjoyed thier drink menu, both the wines and cocktails are fabulous. Last night, I had a few shareable moments. Highly recommend getting a few of those with a cocktail, followed by dessert. The ambience was very relaxing, the remodel brighten up the place a lot.
I ordered the crab salad. Strong presentation . Portion size was minimal and would've preferred more spring greens to compliment the atrong flavor from the caviar-like topping. Kale salad with bone in dark meat chicken quarter was tasty. Portion size was more satisfying. Service was good, but the atmosphere made my experience well worth anything it lacked.
First time in since the redesign. The new design is modern and fresh. The beverages were excellent. The appetizer and salad were nicely presented but lacked flavor. I though the tuna was overcooked and dry. Service was good.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! If you have a chance to dine at Townhouse, definitely request to sit in Classie’s section. She chose our shareable plates, entrees, desserts and even our drinks. Classier knew what we needed before we did! The atmosphere is relaxing and allows you to enjoy your food through the very last bite. Will not disappoint!
The atmosphere and drinks were great, I definitely go back for a drink. The food however was very lacking. The burger tho it looked great, tasted like it didn't even know what seasoning or flavor was. It was so devoid of like any flavor that it was like it was from a universe in which flavor did not exist. I was greatly displeased with my meal and would not be willing to risk a chance on anything else on the menu if they can get a burger right.
The ambiance and food selection changed dramatically since the remodel. You have to make reservations. The service was great. The food left a lot to be desired. I ordered lasagna and the chips and dip. Not nasty but won't be back. When I spend my money I want to leave feeling satisfied not bamboozled. Giving 2 stars because of the quality service.
I came in for truffle fries only to learn that the menu is totally changed. My friends and I enjoyed delicious cocktails and the cucumber and cauliflower shareable dishes. The dishes were creative and totally unique and absolutely outstanding. The service was knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. The live music was the perfect holiday touch. Highly recommend.
It was a great experience! Great service! The food was great. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the raw wagyu beef and it was amazing. My salmon was cooked to perfection.
