DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! If you have any sense, but if you don’t you’ll fit right in. Every review is from someone who just moved there and haven’t experienced living as a resident for a minimum of 3 years. The neighborhood is not safe!! Cars are constantly getting broken into. Mine was personally broken into. As I was talking about it, another resident mentioned that theirs were broken into 2 days before. Another one mentioned that the first week he moved his car was broken into he’s been there for 6 months now. The police and ambulance are constantly being called to the apartment. Now I understand why they have all those MPD parking spaces available in the front. The amenities are TRASH. For one, the pool hours are 10 am-8pm and the theater room screen doesn’t even work. The front desk supervisor is VERY rude. From the first day I was moving in, she was giving a attitude that has yet to wear off. The leasing office picks and chooses when they want to open at their own will. Staff also decide when they want to come into work. And God forbids, you are trying to reach the front, they almost never answer the phone. Oh, and the residents in the building are a hot mess!!! No respect for each other. The building is currently being sold. Hopefully there will be an option to get out of this place.
I lived at the Gale for 14 months. The first few months are fun, and then you start noticing things. First the neighbor above me had 0 respect for my neighbor and I, we placed many complaints and nothing ever got done. All throughout the night was constant stomping and screaming. Next, there was always dog droppings in the hallways resident issue not staff. My next issue was with the 200 building, you live in an alley like street and there is ALWAYS and ambulance or fire department coming down and sitting there every single night, it’s very disruptive. Speaking of this alley street, people are disrespectful and will honk their horns, play music loud, and you will hear it due to the echo. The trash people are inconsistent, there are always some sort of insect roaming the floor, the maintenance staff is short staffed, and honestly the company itself is out to take as much money as they can from you. Parking, the garage flooded at least 2 times since I was there, and there is very very little street parking around the perimeter of the building and the ticketing people are VERY STRICT, it’s 50 dollars per offense. So it’s pay 150-175 a month for parking or play Russian roulette with the parking police. My honest opinion is go to a different apartment complex because it will not be worth the headache if you come here.
Very unprofessional leasing agents working the front. The first time trying to see an apartment the leasing lady was on the phone having a full conversation. She told us that we would have to go online to schedule an appointment so we left. I went online scheduled an appointment, got my appointment confirmed JUST for us to drive 25-30 minutes, greeted by another lady who was also having a full blown conversation on the phone and didn’t know anything about an appointment and told me to leave my information. No apology or anything. This was such a disappointment. Thank you for wasting my time. It clearly is unorganized and a red flag that this apartment complex isn’t the right fit for us. I don’t recommend.
Great experience so far! We moved a couple of days ago and we are enjoying all the amenities and the location. Derek leasing team member and the rest of the staff have been very supportive since we first came to pick up the keys.
Never thought that this apartment search could be so pleasant thanks to Paris, her delightful personality made all the difference... her knowledge and professionalism was on point. My search ends here and I am delighted and so looking forward to becoming a resident here! Thanks Paris you Rock.
Unprofessional staff, unreachable concierge, poorly managed property, loud residents, unkempt community spaces, numerous instances of violence on property - the list goes on. Although NOMA is a great location and Althea Tanner Park is beautiful - living here was stressful. Would not recommend
My heat hasn’t worked since I moved in , neither has the toilet . The manager of concierge is extremely rude . They have lost 2 packages. The Building stinks of trash. Elevator reaks of smoke . I honestly regret moving here. It’s so sad
Just a few good praises to give out!! I’ve been here for over four years I’ve seen the good and the bad but what makes living here great is some of the staff!! First let’s praise some management personnel there’s Ms.Jackie since day one she’s been very helpful informative and her motherly attitude makes her just a brilliant and refreshing spirit to interact with when visiting the leasing office. Derrick is another professional who has a great spirit his passion to do his best to help the residents are overwhelming respected and appreciated. The maintenance department is phenomenal Tony Omar and Steffen are the “BEST EVER” always prompt and their response time is amazing always making sure your apartment amenities are functioning and safe just all the way A1 professionals…Last but not least my concierge ladies the two most outstanding ladies are Sydney who goes over and beyond to help resolve issues answer questions just her graceful & positive attitude makes the front desk warm and friendly not to mention there’s Jasmine the package concierge who if I was asked to rate this young lady it would be hands down her ability to make sure you receive your packages is a breeze she’s very detailed about locating your packages delivery times and her pleasant mannerisms just tops it off as a person of first contact. There are areas of improvement but for the most it’s Home Sweet Home!! P.S Please bring James back super pleasant sweet professional delightful helpful and just a positive asset to the management team!!
Recently moved in to the Gale, so far everything has been smooth and relatively easy to navigate. I appreciate all of the staff that I have communicated with so far and found them to be very kind and helpful. I was reading some of the negative reviews and think a lot has changed from the times those were written so as of right now I would recommend this place for sure. We have a puppy here who loves to let the world know he can make noise sometimes and the neighbors and community here seem to be very friendly and understanding about that. I look forward to the rest of the year here
When I visited The Gale Eckington Paris greeted me in the lobby. She was very welcoming and attentive to my needs for looking for a one bedroom apartment. Paris took me on a tour of the property, and answered all my questions in a respectful and professional manner! This property is very beautiful and conveniently close to the metro station and other amenities. Although I am still apartment hunting this could definitely one of my options. The customer service and professionalism of Paris definitely could possibly sway me in the direction of being a resident of The Gale Eckington!
