I am currently working for Triton and it has been 2 months now. I have read all of the reviews and can say that some of these folks haven't really applied themselves. I have been working security for 20 years and know that all security companies have good and bad in them. I started with a low pay yes, I came in with the same notion of I'm going to get the nice $14 an hr right off; but instead got $11 an hr. I didn't give up though, I took the armed class at Green Valley that was taken out of my check and now receive the $14 an hr pay. Overtime is always posted and you can ask at anytime for what hrs you need. Favoritism is based on your performance not who you know and if you do your job you get known. There's not one security company on the planet that's perfect; but you should give your all in any field to become what you want, where you want. Is this field one that gives you great pay "some places" and that's just for you to shop around. I applied to Caesar's for bike patrol and have been a security bike trainer and got turned down. Triton took me in and gave me a site a day later with no questions asked and I will continue my employment with this company with no questions. Brandy has always been polite and direct, she will help you as much as she can or will find someone that will. If you have a issue with this company it's because your expectations are higher than your performance. Once again no company is perfect and you shouldn't expect to be treated like you are a gold medal winner and haven't even started a race.
Triton Security patrols the community that I live in and I have been very impressed with their service. They are ALWAYS around and their employees are super courteous and always wave as they pass by. On our second or third day living here I couldnt find an authorized spot to park in and hadn't applied for a parking permit yet. I stopped the officer on duty and let her know my issue. She told me she would keep an eye on it and to place a note in the windshield that she had authorized me to park on the street. By the time I got back out, she had written a note and placed it on my car.
I went to this place to seeking employment but was instantly turned off by the young African-American woman behind the desk. She was extremely rude didn't make eye contact whatsoever. she didn't even look up from her phone. I was told through email to come there before 4. I got there at 2:15 and was turned away. I mean everyone have a bad day. It was 113 degree that day. Good thing i had a ride. Greeting and smiling go a long way.
Worst Security company in Las Vegas. Have the worst sites and the worst pay. They want you to drive all over to different sites and barely communicate with you. Only time they communicate is when they want you to come in on a day your not scheduled. I arrived at a site for the first time where I was suppose to have met a manager there for training soon as I arrive I Called dispatch and asked where my training guard was he replied “We can’t train everybody!” Just seriously unprofessional the turn over rate is sick.
Not a very good company, alot of favoritism, employees who are related to the higher ups given supervisory postions without proper skill sets, employees do whatever they can to get rid of other employees if they feel like you're a threat as in you are offered a promotion because you have more experience. They withhold checks and give you the run around about it and they skim employees hours.
After seeing their ads on Craigslist for months, I decided to go in and apply. I have over 10 years of experience with 1.5 years of patrol experience, 2.5 years of HOA experience and over 300 conventions, tradeshows, special events and private security gigs under my belt. I've also done EP, executive protection and bodyguarding for numerous celebrities. I guess what I did there was have some type of pre-interview with some guy, forgot his name, and was told they could use my talents and they'd definitely be in touch. It's been a month since then and nothing yet. Also, the ad on CL clearly stated that they pay between $11 and $13 an hour but the guy, again, forgot his name, told me that they start EVERYBODY out at $9.25 an hour. Where does the other $1.75- $3.75 an hour go, in his pocket for my time. 99% of the security companies in this city are wretched. They underpay the good help and promise more hours so you can make more money but that never happens either. And as a side note, I am not a racist or prejudiced person, but I didn't see any white people while I was there.. Just makes me wonder if I'm the wrong "demographic" for their company and that's the reason I haven't heard anything since I applied.
Writing this for the sake of the public eye, got a minute? The yellow pages nowadays are as popular as the 8 track cassette. DONT belive that outdated incorrect information. Ive been with Triton Security for the last 4 months and I had said that doing over 25+ years of all levels of Security that this would be the last security firm i would be part of before changing careers if it failed to deliver on all of the many parts that comprise a good solid company. IM GLAD I STAYED. THEY ARE FAR FROM THE MEDIOCRE BUNCH OF OTHER CRAPPY SECURITY FIRMS HERE IN VEGAS. I WAS/AM highly pleased and satisfied with Triton and glad to be part of the team STILL. If you look for communication, team work morale good pay and upward mobility and dedication from a crew of guys and girls who care about what they do, this is one of the very few Security firms in Vegas left who truly care about their crew, company and clients. I made a big mistake of leaving Triton for a ghetto casino after being promoted and commended for my performance record and RAN not WALKED back to these guys after realizing what i did and was accepted back quick. Everyone from Jenna, Elmer, Ron T to Shane R are all top notch and hard to beat. As for those here with negative reviews there is always that big group of lazy and incompetent people who claim to be workers,,, that is them here saying otherwise.
Awesome company. Hours are always available. Plus some overtime now and then. Supervisors are amazing and professional. I love working here.
