Tropical Choice

A west Philadelphia staple!!! This business has been open for over 15+ years. Have been coming since I was a child. One of the more authentic Jamaican food restaurants in Philly. I love their breakfast and Hard food along with their fish and Fried chicken. Have to try the cakes salt fish.

My favorite from Tropical Choice is the curry chicken or oxtails. This restaurant never lets me down. The food is always hot, ready and delicious! The quality of the food is ALWAYS A1! The owners of this restaurant are always polite and patient! LOVE IT HERE

Today the first day I ever had ox tails sooooooo good n fried CHICKEN oh my I order from here food always good Ox tails was great sauce potatoes n carrats beans n cabbage , Thank you for good service

This place was really decent. Nice and clean inside and the food was fresh and well prepared. The Jamaican patties had a real flaky crust to go along with a nice spicy filling. Had some fried plantains and they were so sweet, it was like eating candy. Definitely want to go bavk and try some entrees.

I drive from NE Philly to West Philly for their saltfish fritters. Everything is fresh and delicious. Peanut porridge left me wanting more

Used to be one of the best in the city now they give you oven jerk chicken that tastes old. So what do you even have the grill outside for? 8.50 for six nasty oven made jerk wings. Now to the real disappointment the curry goat used to be amazing and authentic now it’s watered down and the last two times because I didn’t wanna just give up on them I kept trying but the goat was very tough with hardly no veggies or potatoes in the curry. I know food prices have went upend I’ll pay but their food quality has went down a lot and continues to.sadly I won’t be back anymore

When I visit west Philly. This is my go to spot.... I always love the way they season their food is not too salty. I have high blood pressure and I lived in west all my life. I ate at every jawn this is a yes for me... lol

Been eating here 20 years!! And the soup is amazing!!!
