I was privileged to listen to a lecture by Jim (troutwater's owner) last night regarding fishing on the Washington rivers.  He was fantastic.  From this point forward, Troutwater will be my go-to location for fishing needs in Ellensburg whenever I plan to fish the Yakima.  I was impressed with how knowledgeable and yet humble he was in conversation.  He seems to be a natural teacher and I can't wait to book a guide trip with him sometime in the future!  Thanks for sharing your expertise with the Walla Walla Fly fisher's club!

Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are relatively low, and a good selection of gear.
