This hotel is in a great location in Fells point. I've stayed here in the past and had a great experience, but this time I was really disappointed with the housekeeping . We checked in and our bathroom walls were covered in light brown liquid. I asked the front desk to have it cleaned and the person cleaning still missed spots of this brown liquid on the wall. I noticed at bedtime our sheets were stained. The next day housekeeping didn't show up at all. The front desk was supposed to send towels up, but that didn't happen either. Overall, the front desk staff was very nice, and I think the hotel is cool and in a great location. I hope the housekeeping issue is addressed because it definitely negatively impacted our stay.
Love this hotel! The best affordable hotel I've stayed in. The location is incredible, so many great restaurants and shops right outside your door. The ambiance and decor is wonderful as well! And they offer breakfast now, which is a rarity among hotels these days. I've stayed here twice now, and I'll definitely be back! Rooms: Rooms do need an upgrade, that's the only downside. Walkability: Walkability can't be beat. Enjoy the best parts of Fells Point and Baltimore on foot! Noteworthy details: The Admiral Fells Inn is a hotel that feels like a historic bed and breakfast. Worth a stay!
Enjoyed the history of the building. The old world charm and the general architecture. Interesting that the building has withstood the time. The renovations and changes can be seen withe the steps and stairs in the hallways. Adds to the charm. Was in the Fell room overlooking the street, little noisy but it with the bars and live entertainment understandable. Room was nice, bed comfortable, and the bathroom was pink. Breakfast was continental, and the breakfast room, interesting. Down the stairs in the rock lined basement. Lobby had charm and comfortable to sit and read a book. Front desk staff was very knowledgeable of the local history, very pleasant to deal with and efiencant at getting us checked in quickly. Enjoyed my stay, however short.
Great location, and clean rooms. Not fancy, and you see the signs of age, but if you want to have a room in an awesome spot to enjoy Fells, Inner Harbor, and Canton this is probably the best spot. Right on the water and with historical charm, it’s a fine place to sleep. Bonus they had a continental breakfast and let us check in early. Don’t park at the Thames St garage on Caroline St. just pay to valet.
Room was comfortable but could use a rug to look "warmer". The service was wonderful. From t desk personnel were so friendly and helpful. Kevin, from the Anchor Bar, directed us to The Thames Oyster House for dinner. One of the most delicious dinners I have ever had!Rooms: 4/5
When we checked in, the receptionist seemed aggravated that I did not call about my cat prior to coming, although their website says pet friendly. She told me the website said DOG friendly it doesn’t, I checked and this was an issue because people have cat allergies, but not dog allergies? Our room was pretty damn hot. Even at the coldest setting, warm air still came in through the vent. If you need air conditioning, stand by the window. On top of the cool air, you can also keep an eye on your car on the street and watch a live episode of Breaking Bad may be a slight exaggeration. There was hair on the blanket so we slept under one singular sheet. Maybe they did this on purpose because it was so hot. Very considerate of them : There were a couple stains on the sheets but I pretended they weren’t there. I did enjoy the hardwood floors. The floor of the shower looked a little icky, so we skipped that part. There was also no conditioner. If you are handicapped, or a cat, this is not the place for you. Call in advance to make the proper accommodations. Breakfast was okay. There was a very nice woman supervising the room. We had some fruit loops and coffee coffee wasn’t bad. Noon checkout was nice, and the gentleman who checked us out was very friendly and LOVED my cat. The location is great if you are looking to be in the central Fells Point area. We were just looking to break a long trip in half, so we most likely will not be staying again. However, if I ever needed to go to Baltimore, this hotel would definitely be an option.
Good value anywhere, but this place is right in the middle of a lively fun area with nightspots, shopping, wharfs right nearby. Dog friendly too. Free breakfast was perfect. The rooms are charming but old and furniture - including broken closet door- can be awkward. Minor issues that come with the charm.
Not my favorite hotel. The location I would say is good because it's right downtown to everything. There was a festival going on, on the same street so was nice that we could walk around then go back to hotel without driving or walking far. The hotel had a cool old vibe to it but still felt weird about sleeping in the beds. It wasn't bad but wasn't the best
Well, all I can say is a total waste of money. In most of the rooms either the air conditioning, television, or lights do not work. The amenities are a joke, you are not even provided a coffee maker or hair dryer. Breakfast is sadly subpar and 9$ per person. The beds are VERY uncomfortable hard with very little fittings and although it is labeled as historic it is run down and dirty; historic and dirty are not synonymous. I was put in 218 before switching rooms because there was a huge leak in the bathroom ceiling and the bathroom floor began to flood. The person above me was taking a shower so that is what caused it to begin leaking. The ceiling was stained from water damage so this had to have been happening for awhile - there is no wonder people say they have paranormal experiences in this room it is probably the mold exposure. By the way I found zero evidence of ghosts and I think this is the one thing that actually attracted me to this hotel the history. Parking is blocks away and although it states valet is offered it is not. You may pay the same amount for parking as you do on your overpriced room. The windows are not screened in which seemed like a potential safety hazard and there were landlord specials EVERYWHERE. Lastly, if you want to party this is in a wonderful area however please note that if you want a relaxing evening you will be disappointed. Don't be surprised if you wake up at 3am to the sound of people screaming outside of your hotel room or music blasting on the street. I tried to contact the hotel for a partial refund to no avail. If you have a displeasing time good luck getting your money back. You were warned.
