True State Moving Services

Not sure how they got rated 3.6. They packed horribly and delivered unprofessionally. They taped the furniture directly instead of over the blanket, ruining a lot of our furniture. Broke our marble temple/altar that was expensive and even damaged our new home while moving furniture . They are supposed to be professionals and I was giving them ideas on how to hold the furniture such that they can bring it up without damage any walls. Just kept saying things wont go up the stairs! Obviously no responses once we have paid them! If you have pieces of furniture that is valuable not just monetary please AVOID! Using them though they offer competitive rates.

Do yourself a favor and find other movers. First the day of the move the price changed. They scuffed up my walls in my new construction home. The movers told me they were going to have to place the rest of the boxes on the first floor because they had another job. All around extremely unprofessional company. The sales manager is a joke and lies do not trust these people. They will also try to charge you for a COI most companies do not charge for this.

My experience was horrible. From the start, the movers called 2 days prior to my pickup window to attempt to change my pick-up date and then got upset that I would not, push back the dates. Then rather than giving me a 24 hour window, they called 3 hours prior to showing up. Then after they packed my furniture on the truck - even after they kept trying to UP-SALE me on packaging and i denied, they still charged me an additional $350.00 for using 'their own material/packing blankets'. I fully disclosed when the best/preferred dates for us to receive our furniture - which is why with the assistance of the sales department_ scheduled my pick up date for the date we did-to ensure this delivery date could be possible- so when i started to call the warehouse to track my delivery, i kept getting the run around and blown off with excuses that my furniture was still sitting in the warehouse and delivery dates could not be promised, to the point that the MOD manager on duty actually told me he would not put my furniture on a truck. When this finally got resolved, again, i was told i would receive w/in 5-7 days, but would get a phone call from the driver 24 hours prior. 2 days later, i did receive the phone call- that they would delivery that afternoon. When they showed up, payment was made, however, we were $60.00 short of a $3000.00 bill and they refused to unload. Then they started to claim the distance from truck to door was over 600 feet and wanted to charge an additional $600.00. I told them to leave. i went an got a measuring tape for the next morning when they returned and determined it was only 267 feet over the 1st 75. My dishes were broken. Many of my boxes were dented and caved in. and i have escalated to a complaint. The entire experience was very stressful and unnerving. Would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! 1 star is too much.

I would never recommend this moving company to anyone. They were a week late on delivery and cost me 2 days of vacation at work waiting for sensitive documents to arrive which I thought were going to arrive 7 days prior. Whenever we called for an update it went straight to voicemail. The only contact we had that gave us any information about when and where our items were was a text I got that said they were shipping my items from the warehouse across the country on the day we already moved in... They broke many furniture items including multiple drawers and those items that were not completely broken had major dings and scratches. When they arrived they told us they would be adding on multiple additional charges including charges for: going up and down the stairs inside our apartment, walking more than 75 feet from the curb, not having a designated parking spot, tape and materials, gas, having to move our items into a smaller truck, etc. So despite them having poor customer service and breaking many of our items they ended up tacking on an additional $900. I am very disappointed and would hope that this review helps other people choose not to use this company.

I don’t think moving gets any easier when you have True state moving services taking care of you. I hired them while I was relocating last month. They quoted low and seemed friendly on the phone. The movers arrived on time. They packed up everything carefully and took great care of my furniture while loading them. The boxes were properly wrapped with tape. I have rarely seen such efficiency before. The delivery was made on time and everything went very smoothly. I still can’t believe there’s nothing that went wrong during this move.
