I was a TruGreen customer off and on for over 4 years. Overall, the services provided were great and I had no concerns. On June 12, 2024, TruGreen burned my lawn severely by over fertilizing. I spent the next 10 days trying to get a Supervisor or Customer Service rep to come out or simply talk to me over the phone. When speaking with call center reps toll free number, I was told multiple time that the Area Manager Miles or Myles would be calling within 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. Needless to say, TruGreen has lost me as a customer. I will only use local services from this point forward. TruGreen does not seem to care about customer service, and their guarantees are meaningless when they don't follow through. I strongly encourage consumers to consider a local service with local points of contact. ****UPDATED INFORMATION**** Approximately 6 weeks after Tru Green burned my lawn by over-fertilizing, and I have yet to hear from any area manager or regional rep. I received multiple calls from TruGreen customer service and one call from TruGreen HQ in Atlanta. Each time, I was assured an area manager would be in contact with me with 24-48 hours. Such communication never occurred. TruGreen finally stopped calling after a July 3 conversation where I told them for the third time I wanted my service cancelled, but I still wanted a site visit or phone call from the area manager. The lawn is mostly recovered with the exception of some dead spots along the perimeter. To sum things up, my experience with TruGreen over the years was great until they made a mistake and did nothing to rectify the mistake. A simple phone call with recommended remedies would have been so simple. My assessment is TruGreen will not take ownership of their mistakes and will simply ignore customer complaints knowing the unsatisfied customer will likely terminate their contract with TruGreen. Needless to say, "buyer beware."
Carlos is excellent. He provides great customer service and is very informative. TruGreen Lawn Service is amazing and i would highly recommend them! We have a newer lawn and it has been serviced properly and timely. It’s early spring and my lawn already looks great thanks to TruGreen!
Rep was friendly, informative and answered all my questions. Today was my first service, so can’t wait to see the improvement. Pics below are the before pics.
I appreciate the help of Thomas at TruGreen. This was the first appointment to my house. He evaluated my grass needs in detail and applied what my yard needs for fertilizing to green up, weed control, and soil enhancement. Thank you!
I will not do business with this company again, nor can I recommend it to any other person. I cannot schedule a day and time not even a 4-hour window for them to come do their job. Only 1 day notice is provided for the scheduled date of service, with NO ETA provided. I've been told I can call the day of service to ask for an ETA, but nothing can be promised, I'm just supposed to lock my dog up and wait until they decide to arrive. I have other things to do than wait for Tru-Green to show up whenever. So, I'm paying this company a bundle to be treated like I am in service to the company, everything at their convenience. I was promised by a manager that the technician would arrive during a certain window of time after 7 phone calls, and the tech arrived hours and hours outside that window, two separate times. I was informed that I must call the company AFTER the final service on my contract was completed in order to prevent them from automatically renewing my contract with them something I fervently DO NOT WANT. My little, local, small business housekeeping service is able to reliably schedule my cleanings, both date AND time, and they keep their commitment. Why can't a big company like Tru-Green do the same? Too big to care, I suspect.
i understand getting the job quickly, but that should mean a methodical but well done job. Instead i got a guy who showed up and quickly began spraying while missing most of the plants. We have more than 100 plants in our yard and he supposably was able to complete it in no more than 10 minutes from the time he arrived to the time he drove away. I believe that he is indicative of this companies work ethic. I believe TrueGreen services should be avoided unless you like being treated poorly for high prices.
TruGreen is a huge disappointment. I was excited to sign up for lawn services in September, '22, and I paid a lot of money in advance for about a year of treatment for my front and back yard. After about three months, they STOPPED treating my back yard. I called to ask why after each front yard service. One time I was told that I hadn't unlocked my gate I had, once they said that I didn't have a gate I do, and once they said that I didn't even have a back yard!!! Once they claimed they don't do contracts I signed one for a year, and once they said my contract ??? indicated I would have service on my north yard there is no north yard. I have called and told my story to about 10 different reps now, and each time they said the Albuquerque supervisor would call me back within 3 days. No one ever called, TruGreen never performed the service I paid for, and they denied my request for a refund or free treatments. I have been ripped off and lied to. It's a shame that businesses operate this way.
Been using the service for about a year an half and this spring I’ve had more weeds than ever pop up so I called them because they speak so highly about there guarantee. To me spraying quarterly should have brought back less weeds than my neighbors so I called and they charged me and I was ok with that but I did give them a 7 out 10 for there personal survey they emailed me . This morning I get a call from a very rude person who works there who was verbally upset that I gave them a 7 . I told her that a person who gets sprayed quarterly shouldn't have these many weeds and she said I can send someone to respray but I told her you just sprayed two weeks ago this doesn’t help me because I don’t know how well that last spray is going to work . What would help is if you discounted or guaranteed your service fully. She was very rude and condescending the whole time . I asked for her supervisors name and number and she gave the name and email but wouldn’t give the number so I told her instead cancel all future services I am done with trugeeen
The management at trugreen sucks. They just can't get it together. Thomas Lovato is great and is the only one I allow at my house.
Danny was very polite.. nice guy. We like him. I forgot to look out there. If you need photos in a Review, I’ll do that, next time.
