This place is one of my favorites. It provides upscale Italian plates in a lively setting. It's a great place to celebrate with friends if you don't have a small budget.
With their focus on providing local and fresh options, it can be hit or miss if you find something that you really enjoy. Specifically, it's going to taste better than most places because of the quality of ingredients, but you might not get to have it again because it will probably be off the menu. Depending on your preferences, I'd recommend checking their menu ahead of time to make sure they have something that you're interested in. Don't get me wrong, it's Italian so you are bound to, but for those seeking something beyond the standard pasta dish, I think you'll be glad you checked ahead.

Some of the meal was definitely 5 stars: the martinis, the soup, and the side of carrots. The food was beautiful. The wild bore pasta was good, probably 4 stars. It was the shrimp on my pasta that brought everything down, it tasted like it had been soaked in chlorine. The taste built as I finished the shrimp and I could still taste it for the next hour.

Service was great and our waitress was great. The food is terrible and not Portland quality.
Bread was as of frozen, thawed and served.
Don’t order the sour mixed cocktail. Too oddly sour.
Gnocchi is not potatoe and very mushy.
My husbands trout was not cooked. Looked like salmon. So strange.
The ambiance was nice but that’s it.

Very Italian atmosphere. Somewhat limited menu choices, but great tasting food. Good wine list and great cocktails.
