For a cute date spot with lots of character and good Turkish/american fusion food, this is the spot. The vibes here are immaculate and just throw you back in time to another generation with its decor and music choice. The food was good for the price point. The highlights would definitely be the appetizer tray, which went well with the provide bread, and the fries with ottaman seasoning had a kick that kept me going for more. The lamb and rainbow trout were also great. The baklava was not too sweet and hit the spot at the end! Friendly stuff, clean bathrooms, and overall great experience!
Immaculate kitsch atmosphere, the staff are super friendly and attentive, and the food and cocktails are superb. The menu sure isn’t afraid to go bold with the flavor palette, but even with dishes that aren’t fancy, I can appreciate the craftsmanship. But so many dishes/drinks are heavenly - particularly the game hen, baklava lamb ribs, and Turks martini.
We felt like we were transported to a Northwoods Wisconsin supper club. We knew the original Turk’s Inn owners. Thank you for carrying on their legacy. Loved the cheese cloud. Eclectic wine list that was a perfect complement to the cuisine. Char grilled steak and old fashioned fries were great. What we most enjoyed was the unique atmosphere and friendly staff.
Being a Wisconsinite, it's a nice effort to capture a little bit of home on the road. If you don't know, they relocated the original Hayward location to Bushwick original decor and even the plates. The food is what makes it the real deal. I'm not sure if the recipes were part of the migration or if they re-imagined it from old menus. Either way, they got it right. Drinks were up to challenge, especially the Brandy Old Fashioned [pro tip ask for it] with one small flaw, no true up Nort Wisco beers either on tap or bottle. We kicked it off with the Pickles tray and Cheese cloud both tasty. Entrees can't miss with perfectly prepared steak frites. We also tackled the eggplant, which featured a fanstic herb Tahiti, and the sea bass served whole. If your tastebuds up for a Turkish adventure, head on over worst the trip.
Great place, great atmosphere, mostly great food like lamb shank and eggplant schnitzel - ‘mostly’ great because the bread could’ve been baked a bit better but maybe we got a bad batch, great story, great staff thank you Alexis and Ashwint. Would’ve been 5 stars if not for the bread - the food was so good we didn’t get time to take pictures and just dug in.
Alexis make the atmosphere as if you are eating at home. It's hard to find this type of comfort in a late night restaurant in New York but the Turks Inn is a new staple that I can't get enough of. The ambiance, the food from chef Josh, the attention to detail are what I cherish this establishment and I look forward to bringing my loved ones here for years to come.
Great spot! I wish there was live music when we were there on a Saturday night, but maybe it was going to happen later on..? Very cool place, great drinks, lots of fun. Not a terribly long wait to get in. Parking is findable nearby, not too bad. They do have a coat check, it was $3/coat.Food: 5/5
The food is delicious, the staff is pleasant and professional. The portion sizes are all over the place for the price. We ordered the marinated lamb sirloin and for $30+ it was barely enough for one person. On the other hand, the whole grilled bass, which was also $30+ was enough to feed three people. The cheese curds were about as delicious as I've ever had; having grown up in the Midwest, I really wanted some potatoey and gravy on them though! We also ordered the calamari and it was very good as well, though touted as having shawarma seasoning on it, we couldn't find that flavor ourselves. The music was a bit loud for my preferences. All in a good kitschy dining experience. The loud music and small portion of lamb were my reason for taking off two stars.
Incredible venue and experience for our wedding in September! The space is so unique and food delicious. People haven't stopped telling us how amazing The Turk's Inn was. We started with the ceremony and cocktails on the roof before the food being served in the dining room, finishing with dancing and drinks in the Sultan Room. Natalie and Varun were super accommodating and great on the day of. Everything was super smooth and we didn't have to worry about anything. Even before having our wedding here, the restaurant was phenomenal.
This place has a fun vibe. You definitely come here for the ambiance. We were a large group 9 people so we had to get the pre fix menu and we had a 1.5 hour time limit. The pre fix included: - dips and bread quite nice, the red dip was my favorite 4/5 - salad 3.5/5 - cabbage “steak” and lamb - since I don’t eat meat I only tried the cabbage steak but I thought it was quite tasty! 4/5 - two types of fries and dip 3.5/5 - mouse dessert with pistachios and coconut 3.5/5 For drinks I got the Maggie 4.5/5 I thought this was very refreshing - I ended up reordering :. Overall it was fun, the prefix menu made it easy for a large group. I recommend to make a reservation.
