Came here for dinner after a show and loved the ambiance and food. We ordered the mix grill platter for $47 and it was more than enough food for 2 of us. Kebabs were perfectly cooked and seasoned well and came with rice and salad. Complimentary bread was served as well. Service was very friendly and attentive. Will be back again to try more dishes!
I don't know what I was more impressed with, the great food or the mastery of balancing a tall stack of boxes with heavy items to transport them down a steep set of service stairs by a single gentleman. An unintentional bit of entertainment while waiting for the food! The food was superb as well. It was seasoned to perfection! Highly recommend this Turkish spot!
Food is really really good, kunafa is one of the best that I have ever eaten. Definitely pricey but I don’t know who to blame for that and since experience was great, I guess I can’t really complain or can I? Rice pudding is something I would comment on because taste was good but like custard not true to typical rice pudding.Food: 5/5
Went here on sun night for dinner with my hubby. It was moderately busy & it looked like they were understaffed but kudos to the 2 servers who were quick on their feet & held a positive demeanor. For the comments that say this place is ‘expensive’, please bear in mind that tipping is included in their pricing and it’s purely optional there wasn’t even a tip option on the credit card receipt. This is a big deal in NY considering 18% on top of your bill can be a lot. That said you can tip in cash if you like We ordered the babaghanoush which was extremely fresh & it went well with the delicious complimentary Turkish bread. We shared the spinach pastry & Turkuaz grill , meats were juicy and well seasoned. We couldn’t finish so took some home. Def recommend this place
Sorry to disagree with the complainers but my wife and I have never had a bad meal at Turkuaz and, while the restaurant is mildly narrow, it never feels cramped. I have had two high school home room reunions here and everyone, all12 people, loved the place and the food. That goes too for one man who only eats “American food.” We have taken several friends here when in the theatre district and all returned on their own. I assure you that you will enjoy this place as my wife and I have since we discover it.
Excellent for a small company dinner. We had about 14 people in the private "cave room" for a team dinner. One person observed Halal and we had one vegetarian. It was a fantastic experience. We did family style, to enjoy multiple delicious entrees and appetizers. Service was excellent and they took care of us. Will return in the future. Dietary restrictions: Nice when someone in your party observes Halal.
Very delicious food, I forgot to take pictures of all the dishes But the prices are very high Very rich kunafa Baklava is very ordinary
This is a really nice Turkish restaurant. Service was good! Only wish they had added charred onions and chilies for more flavor, just my preference but overall would recommend this place!
We found this place when we were looking for a dinner place in theater district on our recent trip to NYC. We were lucky enough to get the table for five as we did not have reservations. This place is nicely decorated but not very big. Friendly staff and fast service. Main entrees and desserts, everything was very good and flavorful! Definitely coming back.
Delicious food and fabulous ambiance. But how does a Turkish restaurant run out of lahmaçun? Wait staff seemed overly busy and needing help.Food: 5/5
