Great campground with communal restrooms and showers. It's the most quiet campground I've ever been to, and it was 100% full for Memorial Day weekend. Quiet time (no generators) is 8pm to 8am. Would gladly stay again.

Great campground for tent campers. NO ELECTRICITY means no mansions-on-wheels pulling up and popping up a satellite antenna that whines all night searching for their DirecTV satellite. No TV blaring Fox News all night because they drank their selves to sleep with the finger on the volume button. No listening to the whirr of AC or heater all night while the temperature is ideal with a light breeze. No hearing the wife yelling backup directions. No hearing an hour of "leveling" issues being addressed with electric drills turning lifting mechanisms. No flashing red-white-blue ropelights spoiling the view of the night sky. No listening to dogs barking inside the RV while the occupants are at the local casino for six hours. Just the sound of the wild mixed with a little background noise from the highway about a mile away. But traffic is light after ten pm. Enough editorializing. Seriously, the campground is run by the National Park Service. There's a heated showerhouse that is clean with hot water and good water pressure. The Buffalo National River is visible from some campsites and an easy walk. There are well placed tent pads with good drainage. Campsites are laid out in a circle with ample space between most of them. And - usage is light - at least in the fall when I camped there. This is the heart of the Ozarks with an undammed river in an area where almost all major rivers are dammed for flood control and energy generation. This is a jewel of a campground with usual national facility low prices and senior discount rates. It really is a treat to camp away from the 'bring home away from home' RV crowd. Camping is in tents.
