I’m moving to California and I rented a 5’x8’ trailer to tow with my Subaru. I already had the hitch but no receiver for it. Courtney was very helpful in getting me a receiver that fits my hitch. She was also super patient with me since I don’t know anything about trailer or hitches. Got everything I needed and now I’m ready to tow!

The last lady I talked to was very nice, and I understand there is a policy about who can make changes, but I made the reservation, the name was under my account, my number, my credit card and I wasn’t allowed to have any say in the reservation. I called earlier and learned that, and then a few hours later I got a call saying I was late for the reservation and they hadn’t heard from me. Which I had called earlier so I was confused about why they said they hadn’t heard from me. Then to cancel they still needed the driver to give consent for me to cancel the reservation I made.  This has been the most stressful situation I’ve ever been in. Won’t be renting from U-Haul again. No where on the website did it notify me that putting someone else’s name as the driver would make it so I couldn’t make any changes to my own reservation. If they need the driver to give consent on the phone, why doesn’t it need that on the website? Oh wait, because I made the reservation.

Attendant was very gruff and short with us. Very UNfriendly
UPDATE: I gave my business credit card over the phone to reserve the truck until we got there. (He insisted I do this) We actually paid with a different card. Less than 2 week later, my card's info was used to take money out of my bank account. Fake charges from Dubai. I never use that card and this was the only place I had used it. I wasn't hard to figure out what happened.

Just beware of this place. I had a terrible experience here. I went by to rent a small trailer and started the check in process with a guy named Daniel Butterfield. It was much as I expected... Questions, photo id,  scan, email, etc... (Understandable of course, they rent out very expensive equipment). I've used uhaul for decades with no problems until today. Then he asks me for the name and information of a contact. I gave him my brothers number to verify my identify. He calls and my identify is confirmed. Great. Then he starts asking for more of my brothers information... I told him that i wasnt really comfortable giving out someone else's info. After all, he isn't their customer, and i really am not comfortable giving out his name, number, email etc.. As soon as i say this, he tells me he's not renting to me. I was totally taken aback. I apologized for offending him and tried to politely explain that it wasnt my place to give that information out, but that he was welcome to call him back and ask himself. No dice. He turns into a complete jerk, makes no attempt to work with me, or understand what i was saying. The entire experience was a complete and utter waste of time. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. Not worth the headache, and obviously no concept of customer care.
