I have rented from U-Haul Moving and Storage at Two Notch two times, and I have been extremely happy both times with the performance of the U-Haul trucks and the customer service. Using the U-Haul website also made it easy to make my reservation, change my reservation to a different size truck, and speed up the check-in process on the day of pickup. In particular at this location I wanted to acknowledge Khalil, the manager, who took very good care of me both times I rented. He ensured the charges were accurate and took extra time to attend to details to make sure I was a happy customer.
So let me tell you about my experience with Uhaul period, I never should have used them it started like this. I went online looked for the vehicle that I needed reserved it. The location that I wanted to use was closed I didn't know that because googke said they were open. I contacted support after I could not get them on the phone. I was told I did not even reserve a vehicle at that location, I was then informed that I selected Two Notch road. I hate this location so I knew better but I needed to be a good boy friend and take care of something so it did not matter. I go to the location to use the mobile pick up service because that's what I selected nope didn't work. I go inside to pay I was quoted 141.29 I was charged 173.66 went back inside asked about it, was told that it was just on hold. I returned the truck after using it putting the gas back in it that I used and I was charged for gas. Then I reached out with my pictures showing that I didn't lie the needle is back to the place I it was when I received the vehicle. To add insult to injury they over charged me for gas I didn't owe them for. Use Budget trucks the are upfront about running your pockets for their trucks.
The only reason why I selected one star is because I can’t select zero. This is the worst experience I have had with renting a UHAUL. The agent Maurice did my contract wrong because he was too busy trying to flirt, along with another associate having their baby there crying behind the front desk. I asked for a one way reservation and was given a in town rental. I was able to get in contact with the manager and advised that the associate did not do his job and now I forced to jump through hurdles to rental a trailer. I highly DO NOT recommend this location, very unprofessional and the associates DO NOT know how to do their job, even the manager. This place needs to be shut down.
This location will create hours of problems for you before you even start your move. 2 hours before our pickup time, we received a text sending us to this location. When we arrived they sent us to a new location 40 minutes away, they charged full price and did not include a dolly or furniture pads, that we paid for. Hours of headaches before ever starting our move. My advice, go Penski, it couldn’t possibly be worse.
I rented a 10 foot uhaul truck on May 20th at 10 am and had the worst experience with this location. I reserved a truck many days in advance to assure that I had an available truck since my lease was up 3 days later. I arrive at the location and was told that there was not a truck available and they wouldn't know if one would be available that day or even the next day. I was told to go home as they would not have one for me. I asked if I would get a call about one becoming available since I would have to drive 90 minutes from where I was staying at and needed to know if there was a grace period for me picking up the truck. The man was not understanding the question and said I would have the truck for 24 hours...again not answering the question I asked after multiple times. So I go to my apartment and at noon I get an email saying my reservation was cancelled for "being late to my reservation". I WAS NOT LATE AND WAS SENT HOME. I called customer service to clear it up and figure out why my reservation was cancelled against my wishes. I eventually was able to get a truck after over 5 hours of issues with this location. I am moving in July and will not be using uhaul and their services because of this incident.
Absolutely Horrible.....This is the last time I will rent from Uhaul. I rented from this location with the intention of dropping it off in Spartanburg, SC. I dropped it off in Spartanburg 4 hours after i rented it. They told me in Columbia that 'you can drop it where ever is convenient' I did not have a specific drop off location. They simply said call ahead and make sure they can take you. Which I did. Dropped it off, was told where to park etc. Today I get the call that I'm late. 4 days later. Then the 'customer service' guy would not let me explain what they told me....he talked over me and refused to listen, saying if I didn't stop trying to talk he would hang up on me. He then told me he was doing me a favor even though uhaul messed up by never checking me in. My fault. I'm done with haul. Second time they have called me after a drop off looking for the rental. They always say well 'we are not really affiliated with blah blah blah." I don't care. If you have the name uhaul on the door, you are uhaul. Learn it, live it. Also, a class in customer service would be helpful.
Customer service- is non professional, took my deposit but verification email nor text confirmation never received. It’s been over 2 plus months ordered and still getting the runaround about the item and service ordered, service not completed still as of yet-going on three months there, but started the ordering process by Uhaul Florence back in June, worst service all around.
After researching Uhaul storage information, I called and spoke to Mr. Joe Cole at the Two Notch Rd. location. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. The next day I went to the uhaul location and rented a storage room. Mr. Joe Cole was there and was very helpful in setting up the rental account. I appreciated his courteous and attentive service.
I was charged a $142 charge for an incorrect assessment of a returned truck and now I have to wait 3 to 5 business days for my own money to be returned. Insane. They charged me $142 saying I didn't fill it with gas but I did. Funny thing is I paid for $15 in gas to put it back to a quarter tank. Imagine charging someone $142 over $15 worth of gas.
I made an appointment and they canceled on me when I got there. There was no question as to what I needed completed. These people will not install a trailer hitch even if you make an appointment. I am most frustrated with the willingness to take an appointment yet zero checks on if they can perform the work. 100% call the people performing the instillation not their managers as to speak to the person performing the work. Update: they don't even have the parts. I would give them a zero stars if I could, I have to drive 3.5 hrs ONE WAY to get this installed at another location. I understand messing things up but the refusal to own up to mistakes U-Haul has made has really put me in a terrible situation. I have three days to get a hitch installed otherwise I can't pick up the trailer. I will never use U-Haul you have lost a customer for life.
