i lived in the Crossing St. apartments for 6 months and the management is so unreliable. i was locked out of my apartment in -30 degree weather, ran to the office and no one was there, called the emergency number countless times and got no answer until 2 hours later. luckily, i was able to have someone rush over to bring me to somewhere warm while i waited for access to my apartment. the managements excuse for not answering their emergency line was because “they were at a movie”. there has been multiple times where we were left waiting for an answer and a call back from management while we were in need of them. the apartment also had many issues with the building just within the 6 months i was there.

Comment response from Makala shows just how professional UPM is to their tenants. Now, being broke into in the first couple weeks of being in their apartment, having the hot water heater smell like rotten eggs, having cupboard doors broken and never being fixed throughout the whole lease; shows just how great the management is at managing the property.

Wish I could leave no stars. Melody is completely unorganized and unprofessional. When I received my deposit back I was charged for having paid my rent late in the month of September. I called Melody multiple times and never received a call back. The month of September I paid rent at the beginning of the month, but I had to email Melody to ask her if she was going to cash my check because it was the end of September and she still had not cashed it. She then proceeded to tell me she forgot to check the rent box for my check. I thought okay, whatever another thing Melody sucks at. Then when I received my deposit from my apartment I was charged $50 because of paying my rent late, even though it was Melody who forgot to cash my check, I was penalized. I have left Melody multiple voicemail's asking Melody to please check her old emails between her and I to see that this was her mistake not mine. (I would check mine, but its my old school email which I cannot access anymore) It has been three months, still no response from Melody and no refund. This rental property is not professional and this is just one example as to how unqualified, irresponsible, and greedy these people are. Especially Melody, not sure how you can run a rental property and not return phone calls... DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE.
