Ukulele Jake

Jacob is the best! He always brings enthusiasm to our lessons, and is invested in sharing his love of music with his students. He's an amazing teacher and has great energy! Can't recommend enough!

Jake is a great human being and an amazing teacher. My 8 year old daughter has been studying with him for about 7 months now and her progress has been great. She’s changing chords fluently, strumming confidently, singing and playing at the same time, and performed solo at Jake’s annual recital in Prospect Park. Above all she is having fun and being creative. She looks forward to her lessons and her time with Jake. He has an incredible ability to connect with kids and adults alike. He’s the best.

Jake has been teaching my 12 year old daughter for almost two months. Her progress is amazing and she is having a really great time. He is so enthusiastic, patient and full of creative energy. He is a truly special teacher with a clear passion for this unique instrument!

Jake is a great teacher, full of energy and clearly enjoys teaching the ukulele. Would definitely recomend. He taught me the chords so well and in a way I was able to understand. I moved to Ireland years ago and still catch him for a lesson everytime I pop back to NY for a visit. Thank you , Jake.

I just had a lesson with Jacob this morning and he is so inspiring ! Jacob tailors the lessons to what you want to learn He is also funny and caring and a dedicated teacher, well worth the trip to Clinton Hill !

I’ve played music with Jake practically since he moved to New York City. He’s an amazing human being, full of love and light. I’ve even learned a couple uke chords from him too. If you’re looking to get started or get better at ukulele there is no better person to take the journey with.

Super jovial, fun lessons. I liked how we worked on songs that I was interested in and Jacob made a curriculum specific to me! I wouldn’t take lessons from anyone else
