I love Ulta. Their customer service is great. I am always greeted kindly. It’s a playground for all things beauty! Not only can you get a make over but you can also hit the salon and get a new hair cut too. Unfortunately I always seem to walk out spending $100 bucks. Ugh!! Great spot to come ask questions & get your beauty supplies.
This location is amazing. I’m a Diamond level shopper and I will always drive to this one from now on. I had the most amazing experience with an associate Jillyn. Sp? she needs a promotion or a raise. I’ve never had an associate go above and beyond to help me and explain different lipsticks with me.
ashton at the hair salon is amazing !!! she was attentive to what i wanted for my hair and gave me a variety of options of what we could do. throughout the process she continuously kept asking for my opinion and ensured i was happy with what we were doing. i’m so happy with my hair and i highly suggest booking with her !
This Brickyard location has always been great and the staff are ALWAYS very friendly here. I feel very welcome when I shop. However, I was shopping the other day when I overheard one of the employees a beautiful brunette with very big lips tell a customer that the chemical sunscreens are "very cancerous" and should be avoided. She seemed to know the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreens pretty well, but when she was giving false information to a customer, it was hard to hear. The truth is that despite the active ingredients, sunscreen protects AGAINST cancer, and individuals with a darker skin tone might benefit more and be more excited to wear chemical SPF to avoid the white cast that mineral SPF can give from the active ZINC or Titanium Dioxide formula. I have lost a sister to Melanoma recently and became a dermatologist to help people who go through what my sister did. There is no good evidence at the moment that confirms what this ULTA employee told a customer. To most, this might be a dumb overreaction, but it is really hard to hear such incorrect and possibly life-threatening information be told. This woman who works at ULTA seems to be very knowledgeable about many things and is always very kind to everyone, but I must call this out. The best sunscreen is the one that you are going to wear, and in fact, it is not sunscreen that causes cancer, but the sun itself. Stay protected!
This review is about the salon only - Worst hair cut I've had in 10 years. Showed up at 3:25 for my 3:30 cut, waited 10 minutes to be checked it to told they were running late. Didn't get started till 4pm. I asked for a 2 inch trim and long layers, I got the trim but instead of layers I have a line/shelf in my hair. It looks bad. Didn't notice it till the next day because I was running late after the appointment not starting on time and the stylist left my hair a bit of a mess. My hair has some weird texture where some areas are straight, others wavy, some with a bit of curl, etc. All the stylist did was blow-dry and leave it maybe tried to add some curl in with the blow-dry, every other stylist I have seen including Ulta before have offered to either straighten or curl my hair to make it look cohesive. This was not done and it hid the awkward line in my hair. Honestly have had better service and cuts done by students. I am extremely disappointed by this waste of time and money.
My partner is of mixed race and gets treated differently than other people in line. She tried returning a cream that was supposed to be less than 25% used up. It was probably 20%. They wouldn't take it. She tried to pick up an order. Sign in front of the desk said email receipt or ID. They told her she had to have both. They welcome and greet the white women when they walk in, and look suspiciously at my partner.
Honestly such a good experience here!! I don’t know a ton about skincare and Alexis was so knowledgeable and helped me put together a whole routine!! Super appreciate people who know their craft. I would 100% recommend stopping in!
I can not send enough great things about them katie t and Jennifer g are literal life savers. I had no idea i've been doing my hair wrong my whole life. I went this Tuesday to get my hair cut at great clips and they butchered my hair. Jennifer and Katie saved the day I can honestly say if you need your hair done they both are amazing. I am not sure what Ulta is paying them but they need more money or raises. I can honestly say that after being in salt lake for 5 years I've found a salon that I can go to for life. Thank -you so much for giving me the confidence back in my life !!!
I’m done, DONE I tell you with Sephora. The employees at Ulta are so much more attentive, helpful, friendly and relaxed than the haughty workers at Sephora who seem to completely ignore anyone over 35, no make up on and loaded with questions. I’m there to improve the way I feel through self care and self expression. I never feel “less than” when helped by an Ulta employee. They’re just so gracious and kind and ready to help an old gal like me out! Thanks, y’all at Ulta!
What an amazing experience at Brickyard Ulta because of how talented, kind, and fun Chris is! Chris was able to color match me perfectly, and give the best product knowledge! I am so excited for my new products and new look. Huge shoutout to Chris!
