Opened in July of 2006, Union Hall is a 5,000 square foot bar, restaurant, and live music and comedy venue in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn. Painstakingly converted from a warehouse, it offers cozy firesides, a stately library, two indoor bocce courts, outdoor garden seating, and a downstairs bar with exciting live music and comedy, and DJs late-night.
Union Hall has hosted secret or intimate shows by bands such as Andrew Bird, Fleet Foxes, Nada Surf, Peter Bjorn & John, Silversun Pickups, St. Vincent, Tallest Man on Earth, Vampire Weekend, and Yeasayer. Recent touring and local bands have included Matt and Wes from Ra Ra Riot, Richard Buckner, The Sadies, Robbie Fulks, and Bambi Kino.
Union Hall has become a top comedy destination, with regular residencies and shows by John Hodgman, Eugene Mirman, Dave Hill, Mike Birbiglia, Sasheer Zamata, Brooks Wheelan, album and podcasting recordings by Wyatt Cenac, Jen Kirkman, and Sara Schaefer, and drop-in sets by Louis CK, Marc Maron, Reggie Watts, Broad City, Janeane Garofalo, Todd Barry, Margaret Cho, and others.
