Union Jack Pub & Restaurant

Went there on St. Patrick's Day with my girlfriend and had a good meal. I had the fish and chips and she ordered a cheeseburger and we shared a side of macaroni and cheese. The food was really good. Only downside was that they brought out the wrong burger and that the food runner spilled ketchup on my girlfriends purse, but both were an easy fix! Best part was the Bailey's Cheesecake for dessert!!!!

Went here on St Patties day with a large party of people. Gary was our server and he was absolutely incredible. He has a lot of people he was taking care of and he made sure our food was good and our drinks were always full. Great service, great food. Gary was great.

We got the English breakfast which was very tasty. We also ordered a Yorkshire pudding which was also very tasty. We have been here twice and both times were excellent.

More of a 3.75 star visit. Took some out of town friends here for a treat. As usual the British fare food was wonderful, the exception being the hot wings our friend ordered, they tasted like just hot sauce drenched wings, similar to a discount buffet. Our server was not very attentive or helpful, she seemed new or just not into it. We were the first table to be sat for the day. The hostess was helping us while our server was kind of hanging out and we couldn't get her attention, this was a repeating theme. I asked to have a sample of a beer before committing to a whole glass, she failed to mention (the unusually large sample) would be charged on our bill. I'm used to most places having small samples as a courtesy, maybe I missed the disclaimer on the alcohol list or maybe the server didn't know better. I like Union Jack's food overall but I hope the next trip we get a different server.

Great beer selection and atmosphere. One of the fun places in Winchester. Historic building which was bank before and a hospital during civil war. Fun place to hangout at.
