Murphy's Grand Irish Pub

Your basic Irish pub with some non traditional menu items. We went in right around lunch time on a Saturday. The service was a bit slow but overall quality of food was alright. It's a good place to stop in if you're just looking for casual meal.

Great local Irish pub on King St. in Old Town. The live music can get loud late night but who goes to an Irish pub late night and expects it to be quiet? Great spot! Good food and service! Try the Guinness... It's delicious.

Great Irish/American pub. Very relaxed. Cold beer, great bar food, live music for the weekend, and sticky floors. Everything that makes your favorite watering hole. Surprised... They have a very nice Sunday champagne Brunch! White table cloths and fantastic food! The shrimp and grits were a great choice.

Always a favorite for me. The first bar I walked into the day I moved to Alexandria and the one I've walked into more than any other. Other than a great atmosphere the food is amazing and the staff are all fantastic. You are truly with a big family when at Murphy's. Live music every night and never a cover. Great on parade days here in Old Town, holidays, St. Patrick's day (of course) and just any night if the week. Great specials most nights - come Wednesday for $0.40 wings (minimum 10) or for steak night on Thursday. Definitely check out brunch - large portions for a great price and the first glass of champagne is included and only $1 for a refill! Finally, if you are a Pats fan - no better place outside of New England to watch a game!

Murphy's never disappoints, whether you are going for a family dinner, drinks with colleagues, or a rowdy night with friends. We love heading here on a chilly afternoon or evening for excellent Burgers and Reuben Sandwiches, seated in front of the blazing fire. Our kids love the burgers too! The service is great, atmosphere super casual. If you are there in the evening, make sure you stay for the live music. Have a few beers on a Saturday night and just try to stop yourself from singing along to the Unicorn Song! We usually end here on nights out with friends, especially those from out of town. We love Murphy's!
