Mackey's Public House

I was walking around Downtown DC while in town for business and stumbled upon this quaint pub. The bartender, Jesus, greeted me as I walked in and I sat at the bar. The draft selection was very nice, I sampled a couple then decided on the Right Proper Raised By Wolves IPA, which is incredible I might add. I chatted with Jesus, the manager Tim, and the server (Jason, I believe) and had a very nice conversation with these young men. I ended up ordering the tacos they had on special and the Shepard’s pie, both of which were delicious. Typically I am not one to leave reviews online, but I am gladly making an exception in this case. I had a great experience at this Irish Pub and thoroughly enjoyed the company and food. I will be back again in the very near future.

Great place to have a pub meal in DC close to everything around the Federal Triangle and White House. Lots of good beer choices. Fish and chips as good as found in the UK. Cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating. Nice bar. Unisex bathroom.

Small, quiet bar. Stopped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed myself. My vegan friend said that her veggie burger was the best that she had had in years

Great happy hour spot. Good beer and snack specials, decent food, easy location, usually not too crowded to get a table and meet your friends.
