Highly professional, friendly staff. This hotel is nice; rooms are efficiently small but not cramped and all are very nicely styled and comfortable. They have a coffee bar in the morning, and the attached restaurant (the Dubliner) is pretty decent. The building itself is very well kept and up to date. I had an excellent stay here and would highly recommend it. I will definitely come back the next time I am visiting.

We had a great time in DC. The Phoenix Park was a great hotel! The staff were very professional and helpful. The hotel is positioned in a great area. Right across the street is the National Postal Museum. The Dubliner restaurant had great food, a little pricey but expected that in DC. Would stay at the Phoenix Park again. The bathroom was a little small but it's a very old historic building so i don't think there's anything they could do about that.

Would not recommend. Rooms are very small and have no sound privacy. We checked in on a Thursday. Got to our room and heard every noise from the alley, room next door, and hallway. When we addressed with the hotel they refused to assist or refund. I wish the hotel had better management because it has awesome character and could be a wonderful place to stay. We left the hotel when it became apparent that management didn't care about our satisfaction. We should have listened to the other reviews where people complain about the same thing.
Stay away. There are other great hotels in DC that care more about the customer.

Listen...
The rooms are nice in the sense that they have a nice bed. They chose a nice mattress and down comforter That's where it stops being good. The rooms are small. There is no coffee machine in each individual room. And on the 2nd floor each morning they have coffee but it's not that good either and a very limited supply. The staff is very nice over the phone and in person but they won't be able to help in any way. And they blame it on we don't have it or we can't do that "sorry"
They're aren't any good restaurants near by. The mall isn't very close. There really isn't any reason to stay here. There are better deals to be had and closer to the mall area or the restaurants so keep searching is my advise

Improved over years ago because they remodeled the lobby. It seems more spacious there now. Nice to be so close to union station. However, it's not handicapped friendly at all. The elevators are very small and the rooms are small for anyone with a wheelchair. There's a nice conference room, but it's hard to maneuver with s wheelchair because of the limited space. There aren't HP buttons to access doors. Decent hotel for most people, but not recommended for people with mobility issues.
