Star & Shamrock Tavern & Deli

I gave three stars because I used to like the good before I went vegetarian, now there's nothing I can eat. my personal experience gas now has now dropped to two but most people right care about vegetarian options, so ill leave the third. I asked for a cider 6 times over the course of a literal hour before receiving it while watching the other ppl in my party receive their drinks (albiet one of those was the wrong drink) and other parties receive their sucks. the waiter was overwhelmed, seemed stoned - not that I would usually care, except that he was not handling it well. fries were bland and saltless, vegetarian options extremely disappointing - bordering on non-existent. the reason I wanted my cider so bad was because I had resigned myself too filling up with cider instead of eating the garbage food.

The owner tossed me and my friend out when she started eating her own food. We explained she has health issues and restricted eating. No matter: out we go. Brutal. We just quietly left. I live nearby and this used to be my lunch spot. No longer. The food went downhill a few years ago anyway. Just a nighttime watering hole now and I kept going out of habit.

Their menu has recently changed and all of their sandwiches are now only served on bagels. Good place to grab a pint of Guinness & watch a game.

I enjoyed myself at the Shamrock, take time out and go to the Shamrock on 14th & H ST NE. Bingo on thurs night and enjoy yourself
