A lot of food crammed into a tiny and pricey store. Always leave store having spent a bit… Good imported cheese selection but not as impressive as formerly, dairy choices ok but limited, meats are fresh, decent produce but pricey, fine selection of spices. Breads are often good. EXPENSIVE! Very cramped aisles lots of “excuse mes” necessary to navigate, even by NYC standards. Prices not always marked on or near items but if you have to ask…. Friendly staff.
It's pricey but worth it! Fresh flowers, huge variety of fruits & vegetables, hot & cold deli, prepared foods and more. I only gave 3 stars, because of witnessing staff being treated in a humiliating manner by either a manager or the owner. The manager was scolding the entire produce dept. outside, on the public sidewalk, in front of the store! I found it to be very unprofessional and was embarrassed for the staff and for myself. It really was a bit shocking to have to see & hear that at the entrance to the store.
Gormet everything..yes, at gormet prices. But they have items that are not so easy to find...like a good offering of seasonal mushrooms, a large cheese department, and a pretty good selection of organic produce. They have often sold out rotisserie chicken and a fish department, including sushi. What they do not have is pet foods and a pretty meager supply of items like paper towels. They also started a delivery service durjng the pandemic that is great.
while you'll never get out of here for less than 50 bucks no matter what, solid place for the local pop-in. Frequent rotation of fresh stuff like the coffee. Some odd things, though, like chicken sandwich wraps that almost always have a bone or two in them. Thats just weird.
Great little grocery with amazing cheese and meat selection. Very tight spaces here but otherwise a great selection of organics
A lot of good stuff packed into a not-so-spacious store. Always has good produce, baked goods and breads, seafood and meats. They carry some of the better brands. Their own brand of EVOO is very good and reasonably priced.
"Excuse me! Pardon me! Coming through! On your left! On your right! Right behind you!" If you love saying all these things while grocery shopping, then this is the right place for you. The front part of the store is particularly crowded at any time of the day. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and helpful whenever they are asked a question.
I will not shop here again! I've been here several times and the cashiers always have this look of misery on their faces and do not know how to properly greet and service their customers. It's always attitude for some unknown reason and I honestly get better service at whole foods and trader Joes than I do here. This is what I get for straying from my go to places! The management in this place also needs to do better smh.
A few times that I’ve come into this store and needed something behind the meat, fish or prepared foods counter, I get a bad, unhelpful attitude from the guy working in the meat department. No need for such an attitude when directing me to go to another employee for the needed department but then again, I won’t take it personal as i see other people getting the same treatment. The guy working by rotisserie chicken the other day told me “next time ring the bell”, which wasn’t even noticeable. For these higher prices, you’d expect that common decency as a human would be better upheld. I’m not one of the pretentious neighbors coming into the store and regardless, treat people with respect. I will walk the extra distance to get my groceries elsewhere. Avoid this store.
Good fresh food, meat, fish. Just open your mouth and say what you want..lol
