Amazing school with amazing people. I really enjoyed the five years I spent here. The school caters to Law, Agriculture and Sciences mostly. It has really good pricing and sees many out of state students because of this. If your unsure of what school to go to or do not know what you want to do. I recommend going here to figure things our as you will have a blast while learning some fascinating material. The school sits only 1/4 mile from downtown Moscow which is a great place to grab a bite to eat or visit the local bike shops. It is also only a 30 minute drive from Moscow mountain which has great mountain biking and hiking trails. The University of Idaho is a hidden gem. Don't pass it up if given the opportunity to attend.

I will say this. I love the Standford educated teachers here, I like the teachers in the top 100 university graduated universities, but anything less than that, like the teachers from WSU or some religiouse school are inadequate, however teachers that have graduated from University of Idaho are quite good, better than teachers who got their degree at WSU in my humble opinion. Perurdue teachers were the worst, Purdue is easy to get into, but hard to graduate from, so perdue graduates are great manipulators. This school has a lot of teachers fresh off the boat with no work experience. Lots of them think that if they left the university and worked for corporate they would make over $100,000 a year, so they talk about how bad their pay is, but really they are paid more than they are worth and I don't think many of them would survive a corporate environment, some can for sure, but the majority are way too soft and naive. Schools have gotten bloated and costs go up every year not down. What needs to happen is the schools need to be refunded by 25% and they need to decide what is important. Paying teachers more is a scam they have playing here. The only way to get better performance is to buy people who are live and survive in a demanding corporate world and pay to pull them from that market to this one. Then we would have effective teachers that actually know the ropes instead of the teachers we have now that basically charge a lot of money to read a book with you.
I think its easier to replace spots and there is a market to bringing in good educators. Educators who have incredible careers without us. Until this university goes to that length of finding tallent, you will be stuck with chear leading hopefuls. Yay!

I majored in business here. I opened a relatively small basket weaving company. Things aren't going well. I have been minpulating shareholders for months. Tomorrow our quarterly update is due. People are going to be pissed when they discovered hundreds of thousands in company funds have been spent on neopets currency. Oh well, that's the life for a Vandal (no pun intended) rip the dome

I mean it's a nice school I enjoyed my four years here. After my time here I applied to Yale for medical school and has been successful
