Upland Barber Shop

Owner has been cutting my hair perfectly for 28yrs. I also lost my hair because of sickness and he cut what was left to look like I had more hair then I did. Amazing! He cut my hair for free a couple times when I was younger and had no money. He has helped other barbers get through school. This is a rare barber shop that has a saloon in back that are very talented. Another rarity; this shop cuts Black Peoples hair. This place also does old school straight razor shaving, and beard trimming and styling.

I work there but let me tell you that it's the BEST place that I have EVER worked at!!!! The place is divided into two sections, a barbershop that caters mainly to men and boys and a salon that's situated in the back of the barbershop. That's where I work. I work with one amazing and talented colorist and stylist, Debbie. It's truly a pleasure and a privilege to Work there . There are NEVER issues or envy among us. We work together and help each other with everything. We've respect and appreciation for each other's work. We also have a lot of trust. These have been hard qualities to find at other salons and I've been doing hair for over 29 yrs!! We are often complemented by our customers who feel comfortable and at ease because of the friendly atmosphere at the salon/barbershop. The owner of the shop is also the BEST BEST BEST barbershop owner that I've EVER had the pleasure of meeting in my life!! He's super considerate and EXTRA understanding. He also has an amazing work ethic and he's A VERY talented barber!! He often does my son's hair and my son loves his work!!! He's just an amazing boss and friend. Thank you Matt for being you!!

Went in early in the morning. I was the first customer. The lady kept on pausing while she talked to her coworkers and other customers. I'm fine with them talking so long as they keep their professionalism. But that was not the case. She also took the cover off then brushed my hair off my head. Afterwards, I could feel hair getting into my shirt. The cut was lousy too. Missed hair sticking out in multiple places. Not recommend.

Everyone is friendly and somehow they track who came in 1st. Prices are cheaper by about $4 - $6 from other places. They cut hair well, and consistently. Friendly atmosphere. If your in a hurry don't go by. It's a typical Barber shop where it's laid back and no one rushes. They don't take there sweet time either but you may be sitting in the chair 20 to 30 min if its a chatty day. It's great to get involved in the conversation. You could probably tell them ur in a hurry and I'm sure they would accommodate you. But if you don't ur on their timeline... I would say if ur not in a rush It's a good place to get ur hair cut for a relaxing good experience.

Go here only. All the stylists know how to cut, style and fade. Awesome traditional barber shop. You'll be glad you did.
