Extremely knowledgeable, understanding, and welcoming for new cyclists as well as veterans. They try their hardest to do what’s right for their customers and help them make informed decisions when purchasing a bike. Chris, the owner of the shop, is an extremely knowledgeable person, and my go-to for any bicycle needs.

On a ride today, I was reminded of a time my boys were in there ravaging the store on scooters. I’ve spent many hours training at Uptown Cycles and miss the place sense moving away. It is nice to be back in town and I can’t wait to drop in tomorrow. Seems worthy a five star review! Thank you to Chris and the team.

Took a wheel to get fixed and they messed with the hub without permission. Now have to rebuild the hub on our own. Will never recommend this place.

Excellent service! I have had my bike serviced here a few times and the staff is always very helpful and informative, customizing the service package for my needs. They also have lots of bikes and accessories for sale. 10 out of 10 recommend!

update11.2.21: I've been riding this perfectly tuned fit for months now. I have never felt more comfortable in aero or with my cycling dynamics. Finished IM North Carolima 70.3 last weekend and it was easily my best bike experience. Held aero nonstop and PRed my bike. I should have gotten a pro fitting 10 years ago. I've been in and out of cycling over the past 10 years after racing a lot of triathlons I suffered several injuries and then had three kids. I decided that my midlife crisis would be a new triathlon bike, but I was new to the Charlotte Fort Mill area and didn't have a great local bike shop. Several people recommended Chris at uptown cycles, and I had an amazing experience with my retul fit. Chris spent 4 hours with me tweaking every angle, measurement and position. It was amazing to see how very small things can alter the overall geometry of my bike ride. Great shop. Great staff. Great service. Picture is my bike at home not the retul process

Highly recommend! I recently stopped by Uptown Cycles to buy a couple of parts for my 7 year old bike. The parts are a perfect fit. While at the shop, I made an appointment to have my bike serviced and tuned by Matt. He was able to fit my service in at a decent timeframe. This was a great decision! Matt suggested the bronze service to tune my bike for the season. He eliminated issues I had with shifting and breaking. He also straightened my wheels and replaced additional parts. My bike feels brand new! Thank you, Matt!

Bought a Salsa Timberjack from Uptown Cycles. Ben was very helpful. He actually grabbed a bike, and took me on a short ride. He spent time with me going over the bike I bought. Not sure what else you could ask for.

Amazing bike store. Chris, the owner, is a fantastic guy to work with. I was able to get a new bike at an amazing price while all of the other stores were out of stock on that model. He also helped me with setting everything up and answered all of my questions. I can’t recommend this store highly enough.

Helped me choose my new bike after looking for months - incredible staff answered all of my questions and pointed me to the right selection. Added locks, water bottle holders, lights, etc. and they helped me in every single decision. Obviously experienced cyclists themselves and help other serious cyclists with their repairs, adds. Highly recommend if shopping for bike/parts/accessories.
