Urban Lofts Townhomes

I've owned my Urban Loft townhome for over 8 years. I did not purchase it new but have been impressed over the years at how well the home is built. Not to mention the incredible design, use of space and natural light. I am a real estate broker and have sold over 75 of these homes as pre-owned and they always do very well during independent inspections. I have also sold brand new units from the builder and have been impressed with their sales team and quality. I highly recommend these homes to my clients due to their awesome and unique design and their quality construction. Don't get me wrong, things come up that need to be repairs or improved over time, but that's any house, any builder!

We have had several experiences with Urban Loft townhomes in the last few years. They range in age but on average are over 10 years old. Our real estate agent recommended Urban Loft townhomes specifically because of his positive experience with the builders quality over the years and we strongly agree. Put aside the fact that these are super super cool and unique homes, they actually hold up very well. Of course there are windows here and there that fail but every house will need work and upkeep over time. Overall, if you are looking for a well built home with an interior and exterior design that does not look dated within 5-10 years, I strongly recommend these.

I bought an Urban Lofts Townhouse but I would never, ever do business with this company again. Buyer beware indeed. Urban Lofts townhomes offer a modern layout, fairly good use of small square footage and their signature metal and stucco exteriors give a contemporary look and protection against the Houston climate. The only word for their construction is shoddy. I watched our townhouse being built from the slab and Urban Lofts is definitely a "slap it up and hurry to the next" builder. Interior construction is cheap with low-end apartment-grade finishes. The complexes are poorly planned and poorly laid out. The running joke with the other buyers in our complex was "you know Urban Lofts was about to tell another lie -- they opened their mouths". Broken promises, missed commitments, outright lies... the entire buying process felt like we were battling Urban Lofts just to get what they had promised. We bought our townhouse in spite of their sales staff and construction manager, not because of. This is the 8th home I've bought and, by far, the worst buying experience was with Urban Lofts. Oh - and the "HOA" that we inherited with our purchase? Just a scam. The HOA is Urban Lofts rebilling water and trash collection -- with a hefty profit margin. Don't think the HOA will actually maintain the property or respond to any requests for maintenance. Do your homework before you do business with this company. Be prepared for Urban Lofts to under-deliver, to miss deadlines, to lie over and again and to be unpleasant and adversarial about everything after you sign the contract. Be sure you get a reputable inspector because they'll deliver an incomplete house with serious issues if you don't. Or just save yourself a ton of headaches and choose a reputable builder instead.

Great houses. Lived here for 7 years, problem free. When I sold my house the buyers inspector found zero issues. He said it was the first time that's ever happened. Great quality homes.

Poor build quality. Avoid this company. Drywall and foundation cracks everywhere in my place.
