Words can't describe properly how poor my experience here was today, but I shall try. So I'm about to leave for vacation, so I put in to hold my mail at the post office. My mail is still arriving, so I went to my local post office to discuss this, and they told me to discuss this with this mail carrier. I called four times, and nobody picked up, so I drove over to this facility and to the customer service window. I ring the bell multiple times over a nearly 20 minute span, and nobody arrives. I walk around and am told to speak to a man who appears to be a supervisor. It turns out he is an auditor, who offers to help me find management. Three or four people offer to help me find who should be working this window as well. They all seemed nice enough, but this process was already too convoluted and complicated. Finally, the man working the window appears, and he was dripping with attitude because I rang the buzzer. The horror of being expected to do your job. I get a new hold mail form the second of these I am filling out and he disappears. One of the people I spoke to previously I don't know her name but she is a heavyset woman with tattoos on her arm came back to check in on if I ever received help, took the form herself and assured that she will see that it is taken care of. While I cannot for the life of me remember your name, thank you....whoever you are! You were the only one I found truly helpful. From being there a solid half hour when I didn't need to be, to needing multiple people to find one solitary person who had attitude when he did appear, and everything in between, this is a 1 star for me. And that one star is meant to be for the one woman who actually was helpful.
To me it is crazy that in 2022 there can still be people who are discriminating and discriminated. That being said this morning a family member of mine had went into the post office at 10:58 am. the poc working the front desk told him to go away because she wasn’t having it today and she only starts at 11 am. So as he was waiting in line he witnessed and over heard a Hispanic family talking amongst themselves in what seemed to be Spanish. the same post office attendant then proceeded to tell the family they needed to speak English and to be in the post office they have to speak English because she cannot understand their language and to that my cousin told her if she could please be a little more mindful and respectful to other that only infuriated her more. once it was his turn in line the woman continued with her attitude and rude behavior, so, again my cousin tells her “hey can you please watch your tone and talk to me in a calm manner?” she then grabbed his personal papers with personal information and rips them right In His face. It’s sad that a person who works for the government not only is disrespectful but the fact that she is in position to help others and be of guidance but she’s only there with a nasty attitude blaming the world for problems we have nothing to with. Belleville postal office do better if you are looking for inclusivity then also make sure you are catering to your Hispanic community that also very much uses the post office ! Sincerely another POC wanting justice .
They don't follow delivery instructions, multiple missing packages. I won't recommend this parcel service to anybody who value their time and money.
I don't know if this is a city or nation wide issue, but I have not received any mail for over a month! I initially did a temporary change of address, but after realization that I was not going to be gone for long, I quickly retracted this change of address a week later. The postal employee at the office had me fill out a particular form to reverse the temp change of address. Since then, I have not received one parcel of my mail, yet the other day, ln the 11 of April, I received 4 parcels of mail, and it wasn't even for me, it was for my neighbor. Which makes me wonder, if someone else is receiving my mail. I'm supposed to file my taxes before the deadline, and have been awaiting an important document via mail in order to file, this is causing me issues. I contacted management through the website three weeks ago, and no resolution!
I would only recommend coming here if you don’t value the time you have on this Earth. Why even have a customer service window if nobody ever shows up to it even after buzzing multiple times? Even when an employee did see me waiting she said she would get the supervisor outside - that was over 10 minutes ago and I’m still waiting. No exaggeration I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes, probably to be informed that my trip was a waste of time anyway.
No stars! THE WORST EVER! They falsely scanned my package as delivered and no one ever came! I went to the office and they claimed that it wasn't delivered because of the weather & it was on a truck to go out and I NEVER got my package. THEY ARE THE ONES STEALING PACKAGES!!! Too many of us have the same issues with this office. Management need to be fired and surveillance needs to be in place
Horrible, aweful place. Never answer call. Won't try to deliver for the second time even for Priority Mail Express. Who knows whether they deliver once? They just label it "out for delivery" and immediately label it "available for pickup." Then, you have to come here to pick up your package. Don't expect to get your package on the first visit. They randomly close the office.
This is the most incompetent post office ever. Amazon’s two day shipping lands on a Sunday? Good luck. Theyll take your package and either say it is delivered or they attempted a delivery just to get their numbers right. If you cannot deliver on a Sunday just don't take the package or at least be truthful about it. Do not say you delivered the package when you haven't. Everyone would understand more that the delivery takes an extra day, rather than thinking their package was stolen. You have a bigger than average box coming? Good luck you'll have to go pick it up yourself. Me and my neighbors have watched the mailman come to our houses, and the package says “attempted delivery” or couldnt find a safe location. The box was never on the truck. If its for safety, the box is too big for the truck or too big for the mailman to carry, DO NOT TAKE THE BOX let the sender use another carrier.
On numerous occasions tracking said Package was delivered and there was no package to be found. Good luck trying to call the main facility on Main St not to mention that they're only open for 4 hours, you literally have to take a half of day of work to get a package that should have been delivered in the 1st place. These people should be lucky to have a job.
If I could give it no stars I would. Horrible service. I had been there 3 days in a row and they wouldn't even slightly help me. First time this has ever happened to me too. Package just never got delivered. They should all be fired. No help at all.
